North East Calls Boycott of Rebublic days (India).

OK Pretty informative.. Now Wat are the reservations of militant organizations? I mean Nobody will picks up the weapons with out any solid reason..

NE is the wild-wild east of India:D
There are many many many underground groups here , the big organisations are ULFA and NDFB from assam , NSCN(im and kaphlang) from nagaland, UNLF, PREPAK, KCP from Manipur. (rest of the states are almost trouble free and peaceful) and dozen other smaller groups not worth mentioning. Every group is self styled guardian of their community or tribe whether you want it or not.

Every one has their own agenda , some for statehood , territorial council, outside settlers, preservation of culture , nationhood etc etc ... none of them are united, sometime they fight among themselve ,sometime they kill people from other communities..

It is not possible to discuss every one of them , you choose which one should I begun with.. The topic is so vast that I would earn a Phd degree:D...
And in between this chaos are the normal civilians like us who just want peaceful life(and we do have good life, don`t doubt that despite all of these)..

isnt it obvious? a stagnant economy with low job opportunities produce frustrated youngsters who take up arms. similar to what is happening in pakistan today.

NE india was isolated economically from rest of india due to denial of transition rights through Bangladesh. just look at an indian map to figure out why.

Is it a right or priviledge you are asking for???

Transit will certainly help but unless you eshtablish your full rights on natural resouces you are null and void. North East's biggest strength is its natuaral resources. You guys will be far ahead of rest of India if you had control over your territory (statehood) and export your resources to India, Bangladesh or even China. I am not trolling but tht is what i believe.

Natural Resources are almost everywhere., It's simply about money. Who pays the best price for the given commodity. NE India is much more than just Rocks and forests. These states have Unique culture in whole of India. That's what NE states are trying to save (in this era of fast changing cultural trends). For instance Nagas, a largely egalitarian society even today, where women enjoy a great respect compared to other cultures, one can compare that to matriarchal societies in Kerala. The values of the society are far more important than the minerals that are found in the land that they reside on.

I completely understand your point. That was my view as well if you could comprehend my earlier post.
Nobody can protect culture isolating itself rather gaining strength culturally and economically. The only way it can be done not taking shelter under a more powerfull culture, rather flourish your culture within and spread that over. Also you need some sort of window, how you could incorporate other culture as well and make that as your own.

As it is a NE section and you had a hate for Bengalis still, you need to look at how Bengali gained so much strength. It never refused other culture, it just took them and swallowed them yet it remained as Bengali and gaining more strenght.

Well that is your fear. You would had access to Bay of Bengal since long if you were an independent state. BD would had been under obligation to provide you so under international law. Your corridore to Sea under present arrangement help you with nothing.

Just look at Bhutan, their per capita shoot high once they started exporting electricity to India.
