Tamil Nadu sure existed for over 2000 years but ruled by 3 royal dynasties.

Ilampooranar said 1000 years ago, "if someone asks what is your country, say Tamil Nadu". He did not say India.

Also 2000 years ago Silappathikaaram says of the victory of Chera army over combined armies of the 2 northern Kanakan and Visayan "Kanakan and Visayan did not understand the strength of the Tamils" (did not say Cheran's)

To day we have TN and Pondichery. Two states (one is union territory) but they are part of Tamil Nadu.

BJP will win a few votes and a few seats. A lot of DMKites are devout Hindus. There is no anti-Hindu agenda in TN. I doubt Tamils will embrace Hinduvta as political ideology
