No proof of RAW's involvement in Lahore mosques siege: Pakistan Interior Minister Rehman Malik

Pakistan Interior Minister Rehman Malik has reiterated that there is no evidence to prove the involvement of India's Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) in last month's ghastly terror attack on two Ahmedi sect mosques in Lahore, in which over 90 people were killed and several injured.

Malik rejected Lahore Police Commissioner Khusro Pervez statement accusing RAW for the terror siege, saying there is no proper evidence to prove the involvement of any foreign agency in the massacre. :yahoo:

The interior minister said he had ordered officials not to issue statements blaming any country or individual unless there is concrete evidence against them. :yahoo::yahoo:

"We should only point fingers against a country when we have solid evidence against it," The Daily Times quoted Malik, as saying. :agree::agree:

Responding to a question he said that the resumption of the composite dialogue process between India and Pakistan was a positive and welcome development, which would promote stability in South Asia.

First I would like a non-Indian source. When that happens, I will reply to what Rehman Malik.

...... and I guess when we want no outcome of any case; we quote INDIA into 'em ...

why there would be a RAW hand in this ghastly sectarian act.. even Pakistani's know the current state of affairs in their own country which is some what divided on the sectarian lines and the existence of the militia trying to eradicate the other one..

Trying to get advantage of the situation perhaps? Who knows. I am not suggesting that they are necessarily involved, however it's definitely possible that they are.

Justin Joseph,

you were nodding when Malik says that one should accuse another country without proof. Can you pass the same message onto MMS and the Indian government?

First I would like a non-Indian source. When that happens, I will reply to what Rehman Malik.

its not about the source which conformed it,its about the man who said it:agree:

Malik is known to be lair on multiple occasions. He may have been druck when he said that he may retreat from his comments later, it has happened, don;t loose sleep over it or get your hopes tooooooooo high. It is Malik the useless .

I am looking for a non-Indian source saying this. I realize it's probably true, but regardless.

Well to the main point. Malik on several occasions has said India is involved in doing terrorism (not necessarily the Lahore mosque attacks). What he said then should hold some weight now, shouldn't it, since what he's saying now holds a lot of weight?

Zardari was a Liar when he said terrorism was started by Pakistan, Qureshi Was said to be a Known Liar when he said Pakistan is responsible for Mis management Of Water, Not India.... And There Goes Mr Rahman Malik In the Lines of Liars

So who according to you is Not a Liar, Zaid hamid?

yeah right every body is useless to you if they utter anything contrary to what you want to hear...it's no wonder that people like Zahid hamid and Saeed draws so much mileage in ur country no matter how much B.S they talk...

But we do, we are saying both instances carry the same weight as in both there is no proof!

Here is an article about Rehman Malik accusing India of terrorism in Pakistan:

India sponsoring terrorism in Pakistan, alleges Rehman Malik - Pakistan - World - The Times of India

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Wednesday again appeared to be speaking in twin voices on improving ties with India, and accusing New Delhi of promoting terrorism in this country.

"Yes, it is true the terrorists arrested from Swat and tribal areas of the country have confirmed Indian involvement in terrorist activities in Pakistan," online news agency quoted interior minister Rehman Malik as telling a private TV channel.

The remarks come on the heels of separate statements by President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani on the need for improved ties with India and for resuming the subcontinental dialogue process that New Delhi suspended in the wake of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks that have been blamed on elements operating from this country.

Those statements were seen to be setting the tone for the meetings in New York later this month of the foreign secretaries and later of the foreign ministers of India and Pakistan on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session.

"Pakistan has retaliated with full force whenever India started the blame game against us," Malik said, adding: "Pakistan had offered unconditional support to India after the Mumbai attack but our sincere efforts to bring the culprits of this incident to justice are not being replied constructively."

At a meeting with former US president Bill Clinton in New York on Monday, Zardari said the resumption of the subcontinental composite dialogue was in the best interests of the region.

Zardari also reiterated that Pakistan was determined to prevent its territory from being used against any other country.

On his part, Gilani said on Tuesday that Pakistan wants good relations with all neighbouring countries, including India, on the basis of equality.

Addressing a large gathering at the Multan circuit house, Gilani said Pakistan wishes to resolve the water and Kashmir disputes with India through negotiations.

He also stressed that the two nuclear powers should decide to move forward and focus on the well-being of their poverty-ridden people, adding this will pave the way for a socio-economic revolution in the region.

Gilani comments come a day after it was announced on Monday that with Pakistan arresting suspected Mumbai attacks mastermind Hafiz Saeed, Indian external affairs minister S M Krishna will hold talks with his Pakistani counterpart Shah Mehmood Qureshi in New York Sep 27 to review Pakistan's action against the 26/11 terrorists.

The foreign ministers' meeting will be preceded by talks between India's foreign secretary Nirupama Rao and her Pakistani counterpart Salman Bashir in New York Sep 26.

That's exactly what I am referring to. He on several occasions has accused India of doing terrorism. These accusations should hold some weight then.
