Who cares and please Pak media don't cover it specially GEO sports, if Pakistanis wants to see it they can watch Indian sports channels.
It will be shameful if Pakistani Channels will telecast it. if IPL don't want Pakistani players then why should we watch it?

.
Well i think IPL stands for INTERNATIONAL POLITICAL LEAGUE.neutrally i am not in favour of neither **** nor any other players to play(including indians)..its gonna ruin cricket.like we see how soccer fans say our favourite team is AC ILAN ,JEVENTUUS etc...no body says anything about their country.i am worried that perhaps same thing gonna happen with cricket too..

.
by the way .. nothing much will happen because of absence of the pakistani players... they were not in ipl-2.. they will not be in ipl-3.. its better to not let them play in ipl... when there is so much hatred in heart .. why let them make easy money.... anyways who misses them except their own country men//

I will personally miss Pakistani players but I dont think teams will miss them..they will probably sign players from other countries..Even if we didnt have players from Pakistan in IPL 2 it was a huge success and teams played well

Suspended IPL players seek compensation

The four Pakistan players whose contracts have been "suspended" by the IPL have appealed to the President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari, to compensate them for the loss in earnings brought about by the government's decision to not allow them to travel to India to take part.

Though the sports ministry of Pakistan had allowed the players to travel across the border for the tournament, the foreign ministry barred them from doing so, reportedly over concerns about the players' security in India. The cooling of relations between the Indian and Pakistan governments after the Mumbai attacks last year has had sporting implications too: India cancelled their January tour to Pakistan, hockey teams from both sides have scrapped visits and the latest was Pakistan not letting ICL and IPL players cross the border.

Six other Pakistani players had their contracts terminated by their franchises before the recent IPL auction. But Sohail Tanvir and Kamran Akmal of the Rajasthan Royals, Umar Gul of the Kolkata Knight Riders and Misbah-ul-Haq of the Bangalore Royal Challengers have only had their contracts suspended, thereby leaving the door open for a potential return.

These players have sent a letter to Zardari requesting him to "sort out some kind of compensation" for the loss in earnings due to the travel bar. "They have sent a request because they feel they are losing out on potential earnings due to reasons beyond their control," a player who was due to be auctioned at the IPL this year told Cricinfo.

"It is an issue because there are fairly big contracts for players from Pakistan. Some of them did well last year so to not be allowed to go has hurt them," said the player.

Though no official word has come from the president, it is believed that the request is being considered: one of the options is to pay them part compensation on what remains of their contracts. But the danger is that it sets a precedent for other players who might be affected, such as those who play in the ICL, who have also been told they cannot travel.

This is stupid request IMO, why ask for compensation from government. If there are unfavorable circumstances then what can government do. Plus if you look from Pakistan's perspective these players seems to be selfish.

To top it up the economy of Pakistan is not in good shape to pay for losses of players, who should be rich IMO.

Pakistani all-rounder Shahid Afridi, Kiwi paceman Shane Bond and Caribbean batting sensation Keiron Pollard are among 51 cricketers, who have been shortlisted by the Indian Premier League for its January 19 player auction.

Ramnaresh Sarwan (West Indies), Nathan McCullum (New Zealand), Clint McKay and Doug Bollinger (Australia), Chanaka Welegedara and Nuwan Zoysa (Sri Lanka), rising Pakistani star Umar Akmal and Yusuf Abdulla and Rory Kleinveldt (South Africa) have also made the cut.

The list includes 11 Australians, nine South Africans, eight Sri Lankans, eight West Indians, seven Pakistanis and an assortment of players from across the Bangladesh, New Zealand and Zimbabwe.

The auction, to be held in Mumbai, will also feature for the first time players from Holland and Canada.

As per the guidelines set by the IPL Governing Council, each Franchisee will have a fresh purse of $750,000 to buy players.

“The IPL had received nearly 100 entries from international players, of which the eight franchisees had short listed 60 players for the auction on January 19th and out of which only 51 have been cleared for the auction.

The remaining will be featured pending NOCs from the home boards,” a release from the organisers said.

The third edition of the highly popular Twenty20 event will begin on March 12.

“The enthusiasm and interest displayed by players from all around the world to participate in IPL 2010 has been truly overwhelming,” Lalit Modi, IPL Chairman and Commissioner, said.

I guess Afridi and Akmal will get good contracts.

Well this thread might close as well due to the extreme happiness shown by indian members over the ipl incident. The way some of indian forum members expressed their joy and said some very nasty things about Pakistan, is a specific reason why I along with many other forum members here think that there should be a contraint on letting the type of Indian rats that i just saw on the other closed thread of ipl. But who am i to suggest anything.

.
I think, Lalit Modi is just like Naredra Modi, a fanatic Hindu activist. He allowed Pakistani cricketers in auctions just to humiliate them. Pakistani fans don't be disappointed (and don't watch IPL)! We should not have expected any better from India in the first place.

.
IPL will not b watched by at last 180 millions
Who is losing again??
