they are active..just like there are ill elements active in each state..just like they are in your country..so does that mean they will destroy your country or attack whichever place they like ??

BTW do search for no. maoists getting killed or surrendering every week as well.

i did not get you..do you mean china does not have any issue in large scale ??

on moaists lemme tell you...its not as big an issue anymore as it was projected, when there was a sudden uprise recently...after the military operations they are limited to specific areas(mostly forests)..where they are being hunted down daily..and many other surrender for a better life...b=its gonna take time to completely finish the movemnet, but its not a threat big enough at all to inflict damages of the kind as below freezing was mentioning.

Regarding the violation of human rights ,, well it is decreasing at a faster rate than the development rate of the country..

This is 2 different issue, every country has social problems. But what is the Maoists, it is an armed resistance movement, which received the support of a large number of poor in India, not many countries have such a movement.

China is already the 2nd largest economy in the world, India is not even in the top TEN largest economies.

This moment in time is vital for India, more infrastructure is needed.

Any one of their MANY armed insurgencies could bubble out of control if they try to get into a proxy-war.

India is 4th largest with Purchasing Power terms.
And normally Indian economy is considered 4th largest.
Because you also know PPP terms is much better to measure a country's strength than Nominal

Although I do not know of any attacks in the city, but I know that the Maoists have a big impact in the urban workers.

and BTW..why dont you guys forgetthe current condition of the movement....there was a big tibetan movement in the past against China..and still many peope support it..so does that mean today they can inflict any damage to your country ?? its the same case with maoists..everyday..they are decreasing.
