4. India sends minister to dissuade and reassure Russia.
5. Russia says there are no negotiations with Pakistan regarding Su-35s.

Seems like Russia played Pakistan.

The real deals are always b/w Pak and China, and Pak and Turkey. Usually, only very few know the details. That's the only you paly with 7x larger adversary. It's a no brainer..

Can't disagree with this. Pakistan always had deep relations between China and Turkey, especially on defence matters. I believe it is these two countries where Pakistan will turn to most for its major arms equipment.

There is some good news from which can be inferred that Russians don't want to completely write off Pakistanis as they discredited Indian concerns of Joint Pak- Russian military exercises. So, I think future is bright for both countries relationship.

there are no "friends" in business, so lets just stop thinking that Russia will not sale something to Pakistan because of Indian influence or China won't sell something to India because of Pakistan's influence, it all comes down to balance sheet, if they see numbers rolling in and numbers coincide with their country's strategic and tactical plans they will happily sell you anything if not they won't, it's as simple as that for me

Would we like to have SU's in our fleet? darn yes we would, would it be advantage to us? well not for couple of years in my opinion as our Indian counter parts are well versed on the SU platform and our pilots and ground crew will take some time to master it, the same applies to Falcon's, If India gets their hand on the F-16 it would take them some time to come to the level of proficiency PAF pilots and ground crew have over the platform
