The Indian Army on Wednesday denied allegations about a Chinese incursion into the northeastern state of Arunachal Pradesh near the Line of Actual Control (LAC).

Reports about a Chinese incursion into India surfaced after a Facebook post of a video clip by BJP MP Tapir Gao from the Arunachal East Lok Sabha constituency. Gao, who is also the BJP state president of Arunachal Pradesh, had alleged that a wooden bridge had been constructed over the Doimru Nallah near Chaglagam in Anjaw which is militarily called the "Fish Tail".

The Army issued a statement on Wednesday saying that there has been no such incursion.

"During monsoons whenever the nalas are in spate, temporary bridges are constructed by the patrols for their movement," said the Army in its statement.
In addition, civilian hunters and herb collectors also frequent the area during summer months".

"It is reiterated that there is no permanent presence of either Chinese soldiers or civilians in the area and surveillance is maintained by our troops. India and China have well established diplomatic and military mechanisms to address all issues in our border areas. The two sides agree that maintenance of peace and tranquility in all areas of India-China border areas as a prerequisite to smooth development of overall bilateral relations," the statement added.

The Army stated that India and China have also agreed to work towards a fair, reasonable and mutually acceptable settlement of the boundary question on the basis of the 2005 Agreement on Political Parameters and Guiding Principles.

Gao later took off the video post from his Facebook timeline. He informed that the video had been recorded by a BJP worker who had accompanied Army soldiers on a patrol of the area.

But I think the channel showed some footage and provided the details. Will that channel be punished?

Tough choice. I say their military are worse than their media.
With their history of war in 1962 and recently in Dokhlam where these coward rats vanished with their tails between their legs in the dark of the night unilaterally, I believe their sena is lying and trying to hide her embarrassment while begging the PLAA behind the scenes.

India has territorial dispute with every neighbour.

the sick white elephant of asia must die a peaceful death

Channel showed image of a dilapidated wooden bridge, which clearly wasn't constructed by any military and is certainly temporary. Even heavy rain will wash it away. It didnt show footage of any chinese soldiers in the area. Do u understand how much 100km is? Any intruders will certainly will have to navigate thru towns, towns where people live, towns which have police presence, even if they slipped past army (which is highly unlikely as military, unlike terrorists, don't move in a groups of 2-3 but in columns of around 50!)

Nai Nai Mai nai manta.
I read the article about 100km incursion by Chinese army and now its fake news. its unacceptable. Indian Armed forces are lying because it was a credible and realistic news. Indian Media was doing good job now their army is destroying there credibility.
Joke aside one has to wonder why Indian armed forces are explaining what seemed to be a make up fantasy story from the start. Have to drown to such level that after Aim 120 c Press conference they have to release a statement or are they trying there best to keep themselves relevant in Indian society.
