2014 elections would be/should be on development agenda - not some f***king secularism agenda or other agendas - these 67 years has been fought on these agendas except development and enough of these BS which has been pulling India down - Having stated that let Nitish prove himself in Bihar before he can think about India - let him show some development and bring Bihar upto par with some other leading states before he can claim to be a candidate for PM. Being a better CM than Laloo is not a qualification to be PM of India. It is a joke that this guy was claiming a special status for his state and projecting himself as a candidate at the same time.

Nitish never claimed to put big ticket ministers behind bars- what he has done is reduce day to day corruption, refocus on development and restore law and order

He has not done enough. Petty corruption is almost out but it is still present in higher level. First tenure of his had focused on development. He has close to nothing to show in second term. Law and order is still an issue though condition is far better than Lalu's era , but could have been even more better had Nitish not started playing dirty politics. He has actually the desire to become a larger than life figure in Bihar and win solo there.

BTW desperation in Congressis is very clear now. Congress itself has no leader to stand in front of NaMo. So they have started praising Nitish and massaging his ego. Sad thing is that Nitish actually believes himself to be a worthy candidate for Delhi.

Consider Bihar in pre partition era - there were multiple industrial towns built by Tatas and other business class, why do you think they suddenly lost interest to Bihar? Do you think Jaylalita, Karunanidhi, Sharad Power, Raj Thakrey et al are any better than commies, didi, lalu? Or do you really believe there is something wrong with some 40 million people living in places which historically been more industrial compared to other areas of India.

Industry was in decline in eastern states since the independence, even at the time of Jayprakash Narayan or BC Roy.

It's normal for industries to relocate to coastal towns of western India since GOI started subsiding the transport cost of minerals. Anyone with half a brain will do that. They only started to show interest to eastern states after GOI abolished Freight Equalization Policy in mid 90s, but it's a long way to go after that.

im a tamilian and I can assure that both DMK and ADMK are 1000 times better than commies or didi or lalu or mulayam who govern these states....they may be corrupt...but they also are industry and economy friendly...so while they looted some they also gave some decent administration......i would anyday prefer to live under DMK/ADMK than under didi/commies.....

Others need to realise that TN leaders are corrupted but their corruption works for Tamilnadu in the sense they want a piece of TN growth story for themselves and they see to that the TN economy and industries are growing. It is in fact a strength for Tamilnadu whereas didis and commies hang on to the socialism and trade unionism which is not taking them anywhere.
