Nigerian Air Force JF-17 Thunder Begins Flight Tests in Pakistan

Well done Pakistan and Congratulations to Nigeria!

Every time I see JF-17 getting into the hands of another Nation, I feel Tejas, the "competitor opponent" may be seeing itself in the mirror and shrink a tiny bit further. If Tejas was a person, he wouldn't want to leave his house that month and would possibly lose weight sitting in isolation. :ashamed:

African countries Muslim leaders has shown good brotherhood with other Muslim countries. This Nigerian deal was made during Nigerian under Muslim Prime Minister. Senegal, another Muslim countries, also prefer their MPA planes from Indonesia. CN 235 MPA can fly up to 11 hours so quite competitive even if it is compared with SAAB planes. Senegal has made third contract for the plane just several days ago, showing their satisfaction for the planes.

I hope Bangladesh buy JF 17 if they want to expand their fighter squadron.

It just, PT DI should decreased their production time and only sold the already certified planes to simplify the production line. Custom units should be less

. . . .
this will lead to issues . we better stick on next mym order and at least sale them some 50 units total

I dont see any issue with this. We can sell both sides the required quantity and make $$$ to reinvest into the next generation of fighters. It would also allow us to have a much greater influence in conflict resolutions.

we should be a good defense exporter yes we can export both sides but not same weapons of else we will not be trusted like russians these days .

Well if in the future Bangladesh gets a pro-pak govt and is willing to buy JF-17 then I see nothing wrong with selling them that to increase our influence.

You dont sell JF 17 to Myanmar, but China does. So there is no conflict of interest if Pakistan sell JF 17 to Bangladesh.

Looking at current makeup of Nigerian air force we shouldn't expect any more orders. These aircraft seem like dedicated ground attack platforms with integrated Chinese or Turkish pods. At max air to air capability will be limited to WVRAAM. Even these three jets will obliterate terrorist camps in a single strike. High price tag of 60 million a pop also indicates a limited and small order.

Considering J17 is already with Mayanmar airforce it is unlikely that BAF will opt for same jet. Banaldesh has already expressed interest in F16 and US seems to be all praise for haseena so expect that as a done deal.

Of course you also made the airplane, similar like any CN 235 sold every where there will be part made by both Airbus Defense and Indonesia Aerospace, regardless who sold the plane. But the contract if I am not mistaken done by China, so China will do the assembling process and integration.

What is your source that Bangladesh will buy F-16s? Bangladesh-Myanmar are not nemisis per say they do seem to have somewhat of a rivalry tho but that should not stop Pakistan from selling to both sides as China/Russia have done for them.

3 jets for the whole nigerian airforce? :D you gotta be kidding..they will be one of the richest countries in Africa and will have a huge demand... sad to see our current strategic thinking is still from 40 years ago.
