I wouldn't. Nigerian colours are fine but not under Burmese colours.

1- They are not Using Aircraft for these horrific activities. (if they decided too God Forbid, We can at least one way or another pressurize thm not to do so, once they will have our equipment and dependent on us)
2- If you won't sell the Aircraft, someone else will.
3- We will have additional Back door leverage to stop the horrible action by the govt.

Wouldn't india get its hands on JF-17 considering their close ties with myanmar. We shouldn't be selling these to myanmar specially after how they are committing genocide of rohingya Muslims and their close ties with india.

The JF-17 doesn't have any ultra top secret xxx pro class 7th gen equipment. Block 3 we might need to be wary of as it has an AESA radar but for block 1 and 2 there isn't much for concern.

China can ram up a production anytime she wants. China is the creator of JF -17. As for joint marketing, if needed. AVIC can market JF-17 entirely by itself. But main product to build up political r/s is not JF-17. AVIC is banking on other product.

Go ahead and don't forget that it was project which achieved those miles due to PAF participation and not just China .. Neither is the project purely Chinese or Chinese funded.

Pakistan should sell more JF-17 to Nigeria and to Mayanmar and people who are concerned with Rohyniga massacre, we have our deepest sympathies with them but that shouldn't stop us from selling JF-17. Remember never mix business with emotions. If we will grow stronger, we will have more say in World affairs.

Yes bro you are correct, it's a joint stake project so all stakeholders would discuss, then take concerted action. PAC/CAC have had excellent working relationship, I believe CAC will fully support any export efforts achieved by PAC.

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Chief of Air Staff (COAS) Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar confirmed that the NAF is expecting the delivery of three JF-17 multi-role fighters from Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC) is expected (defenceWeb). These will accompany six Mi-35N assault helicopters and three EMB-314 Super Tucano close air support (CAS) aircraft from Russia and Brazil, respectively.

In September, during the Africa Aerospace and Defence (AAD) air show, the Government of Nigeria and PAC signed a memorandum-of-understanding (MoU) for the purchase of an undisclosed number of JF-17 lightweight multi-role fighters.

It had seemed that the MoU would be a prelude to a final contract, but during the 2016 International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS), which took place in Karachi from 22 to 25 November, the term “MoU” was used to refer to inked contracts. With the NAF COAS essentially placing three JF-17s within the NAF’s procurement pipeline, it appears that the contract was signed at AAD.

PAC will be supplying the JF-17s along with 10 MFI-395 Super Mushshak basic trainers, which the NAF ordered in June. In August, the NAF Chief also called upon Pakistan to provide training and capacity building support in various domains, such as the NAF’s special operations forces and flight training. In fact, PAF pilots will be joining the NAF’s 310 Flying School to help train future NAF pilots.

Nigeria should be our target country they have a good economy,excelent relation with paf and a huge need for 4th gen fighters we should lobby more heavily for more defence contracts in Nigeria they have a poor relation with both US and Russia

Their government, like in most other countries, is corrupt. The most successful approach to secure more orders from them would be to guarantee kickbacks to their corrupt politicians.

NAF acquires attack aircraft from Russia, Brazil, Pakistan

The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, has said the service would soon induct some attack aircraft expected to be acquired from Russia, Brazil and Pakistan.

Abubakar said that the NAF was expecting four Mi-35m attack helicopters from Russia, three Super Tucano from the Brazilian Air Force and three JF-17 Thunder from Pakistan.

The CAS made the comment while speaking at the NAF’s operations seminar with the theme, ‘Developing Effective Air Power Responses to National Security Challenges in Nigeria’ in Abuja on Wednesday.

It was reported exclusively on Sunday that the NAF was making efforts to acquire fighter aircraft from Russia, Pakistan and Brazil following a subsisting arms embargo on the country by the United States.

When asked if the US embargo preventing Brazilians from selling the A-29 Super Tucano fighter aircraft to Nigeria had been lifted, he said that the US had been assisting the country in the war on terror and that he did not expect any difficulty on the acquisition of the aircraft.

“All I can tell you is that the US is supporting in the North East, they are helping us with a lot of intelligence, so I don’t see any reason why we should have difficulties,” he said.

Abubakar stated further that the aircraft which would soon be inducted into the NAF included 10 Super Mushack primary trainer from Pakistan.

He added that the service under his leadership also reactivated 13 aircraft which were grounded for maintenance reasons to flying Status.

According to him, the aircraft included “three Mi-24V/35P, two EC-135, one Beechcraft, one falcon, one Super Puma, one DA-42, two DO-228 and two A-109LUHs.”

The MOST important point is that NAF will become a BVR capable Air force through induction of JF-17 with its SD-10/PL-12 missile.

NAF already flies F-7 fighter so most of the weaponry will be familiar. JF-17 could be used for ground attack role since Jaguar was retired long ago and Alpha Jet is filling ground attack duty.

The Nigerian Army uses Vickers (centurain ) Tank till now and probably a handful of AK could also make their way into the inventory.
