What's new

Nigera, Turkey and Qatar to buy Super Mushshaq training aircraft from Pakistan

Nigeria to buy 10 aircrafts ------ 10.2 million $
Turkey to buy 52 aircrafts ---------- 50 -52 million $ ?
Qatar to buy 10 aircrafts --------10.2 million again ?
Pakistan would approximately make 70 million $ so how much profit would Pakistan generate ?

Hi,

If there is 1 dollar profit per aircraft---pakistan will get way ahead----think of it this way---how many new jobs get created---how many people get on the pay roll and how much money would they spend.

I still am at a loss to explain the buy from turkey. Is it in exchange for us buying something else or do they not have a relevant product. It would be helpful if you could elaborate .
The other thing to ask is is there any chance of further cooperation and purchases and possibly joint ventures and how can Turkey and Pakistan gain from one another.

The success of the Super Mushak has already upgraded PAC Msk production line double, created over 200 jobs, and putting seeds in for Aviation City and new Aviation university in Kamra.

I think that there was a time that pakistan was desperately trying to give them away for free---. Can someone update us on that---I think it was saudia arabia or emirates that go some free many years ago.

Gift of Mushak planes to Arab states questioned

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s decision to give 34 Mushak aircraft worth millions of dollars as ‘gifts’ to three Muslim countries was questioned in the meeting of the National Assembly’ Public Accounts Committee (PAC) last week. The PAC was also told that Pakistan had suffered major losses in the sale of 25 Mushak aircraft to Iran when General Aslam Beg was army chief in 1989. Pakistan gifted 20 Mushak aircraft – manufactured at the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC) Kamra – to Saudi Arabia, eight to Oman and six to Syria, Air Marshal Khalid Chaudhry, recently appointed head of the PAC Kamra, told the committee. The PAC was meeting to review defence related spending after the auditor general of Pakistan submitted details of the losses suffered on account of the 1989 deal with Iran to the committee. According to the official record of the meeting, committee Chairman Riaz Fatiyana was at a loss to understand why the PAC Kamra, a commercial organisation funded from taxpayers’ money, was giving these aircraft away as gifts. “Are you gifting all these locally manufactured aircraft to foreign countries or earning some thing out of their sale as well?” Fatiyana asked Air Marshal Chaudhry. Chaudhry replied that Pakistan had recently sold Mushak aircraft to South Africa at a profit of $15,000 per plane. The PAC Kamra has also sold 55 Mushak aircraft to the Pakistan Navy and 125 to the Pakistan Army.

Please Inform me about the aviation university in kamra. When i lived in kamra there was no news about the university but that was 5 years ago.

ISLAMABAD - In next two years Pakistan will export 100 trainer jets (Mushshaq) to the brotherly country Turkey, Chairman Standing Committee of Senate on Defence Production Lt Gen (Retd) Abdul Qayyum, here on Tuesday said.

Talking to APP, after chairing an in-camera deliberations of the meeting, he congratulated the nation that its aircraft manufacturing has received acclaims by the international community which helped the country to manage supply order for export of aircraft in such a sizeable number.

In addition to that he pointed out that PAC had developed the repair technology of Swedish aircraft - SAAB - as it had recently repaired two reconnaissance aircraft at Pakistan Air Force's inventory. These aircraft were damaged during terrorist's attack on Kamra Air Base.

He said, indigenous repair of these aircraft helped country save huge amount on account of foreign exchange.

Referring to briefing to the Committee by PAC, he said PAC has brought improvements in production process of JF-17 thunder with the help of China.

It is fine even if they break even. Assume it costs Pakistan (in labour and materials) $15m to build 100 Super Mushshak; well, for an overseas order that breaks even, that would be $15m in outside expenditure on Pakistani labour and work. Of course, if there is profit involved, then the proceeds can be put back into PAC or into other ventures (e.g. Aviation City).

Absolutely on the mark. At this stage the strategy has to be market capture... give lanterns for free to sell the oil later

PAC needs to capture as much as it can of the African and ME...some central asian market. Break even is not bad at all at this stage...profit can be made from services..training and consulting.

End game has to be selling JF packages....it is a long game but Pak can win this one. It is just starting...by avoiding boasts and brovado...and remaining professional there is no doubt of success....PAC/PAF are professional to the core.

By investing in relationships and selling pakcages PAC can finance the NGA for PAF.

All the very best in enhancing your comprehensive national strength. PAF NGA will be local solution upto 70%.
