Fully agree. This annexation proposal has my full support, and should have China's tacit/covert support as well. And in fact, none of the regional powers can or would stop them:

- Under Trump, US won't care.
- Russia doesn't like Qatar for its meddling in Syria, and because Qatar is a rival gas producer. Also, this annexation would further validate their Crimea annexation.
- Israel doesn't like Qatar for its support of Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood
- Iran doesn't like Qatar for its meddling in Syria, but would be worried about a swing in the regional balance of power. However, KSA has lots of carrots to buy Iran off, such as concession in Syria or Yemen.

Turkey, UK, and France would object. But they are toothless without great power support. This is the perfect, perfect opportunity. Hope KSA does not miss this chance to devour Qatar!

Qatar openly hosted Rebiya Kadeer, at least KSA never did that openly.

I've said long time ago that Qatar is most sleazy and backstabbing regime.

- Russia clearly stated that they won't intervene.
- USA has paved the road for the onslaught from KSA and its coalition.
- China has already hated Qatar for openly supporting its separatists.
- EU has no problem to label Qatar as the biggest terrorist supporter.
- Most Muslim nations will take the side with KSA.

Yep, they are indeed in deep trouble, no any less than the previous fallen regimes of Saddam and Gaddafi.

It's not easy moving an entire forward hq. Regardless any invasion will pass/ fly over the hq. Having US troops there will be beneficial for any invasion force because it'll prove America's tacit nod and delay potential resistance the QAF will attempt.
