I see they are using facial recognition on different and multiple surveillance hardware. Facial recognition is a software feature which can be added to surveillance infrastructure as add-on or support software.

Do you know any reliable enterprise level surveillance software which locally used in China and Taiwan and it should be free and compatible with most of the brands like Sony, Samsung, Cisco, HikVIsion, IVision etc. And can be customize when needed.

I have my doubts about this technology. But if it is successful on Chines faces then it is accredited.

Even the new iPhone X has this technology. This will be used by governments all over the wOrld. Legal limits can be placed how this technology can be used, of course. Proof technology is a double-edged sword.
