Additionally, can the Chinese members shed some light on the satellite technology levels that have been achieved. I have seen people claiming that the resolution of Chinese sensor is not at par with the western ones, still at 2 m?

I'm quite sure the Chinese military has figured out by now how to get resolution better than 2 m.
Even some private US satellites like GeoEye can do 0.41 m.

I believe SCMP is not thinking from a strategic perspective as why a more accurate photo was not released to the public. Did any media questioned why US satellite photo of the search was not shown?

I honestly don't think if the U.S. puts that much of an effort into it (probably because they concluded that the plane is already lost, and it poses no threat to the U.S. either), they might even want to see how Chinese government will react to this situation. Moreover its a vast ocean and since Malaysians actually provided false information no one could be blamed by the Malaysians themselves.

By the way, most of the military satellites are not calibrated to find planes.

I read the Freescale conspiracy theory but it's too far fetched. A private company that has a chip that can cloak jets, tanks, and so fourth making the latest radar technology obsolete is absurd. Should that be the case, this company will be more valuable than Google and Apple combined and will be front and center in the news.
