What's new

News on the Army front: China

low news day, so I'll share some thoughts.

I think night vision is critical for any successful army. These things are notoriously expensive, so only the best armies can afford it in huge numbers, then there is the batteries cost and etc. I think having one per soldier is needed, maybe start with the top special forces, then move on to marines.

I'm talking actually good ones, with two to four tubes, rather than the one currently assigned to some.

Night vision allows great night combat ability and thus reduce casualties by a lot and allows better chance at anti terror, and stealth missions.

I'm also thinking, are small arms banned under the sanctions as well or just major techs? Cause getting a new weapon to replace the 95 is a good move. A new modern weapon, preferably from Germany, to go with the new zh-05.

Marines, once again, that uniform is stupid, really? Marines are suppose to fight on land not the sea, damn. Also get a designer to design the next one, make it look cool. If there is one thing that the grand army of napoleon taught us is uniform helps morale.

Of course, the Z-20 is urgently needed, as well as a new heavy lift helicopter, and a few more variants of helicopter including a heavy gun ship. Though from the look of things helicopter design is progressing nicely.

I'm hoping most of this can be done by 2020 or so, though the helicopter may have to wait a bit longer, at least in relation to heavy gun ship and heavy lift helicopters.

All in all, good progress, but more work needed

These things can accommodate about 1.5 tons, driver plus 7 others, bullet proof and has pretty thick armor, the engine is huge, it is fuel efficient and powerful. It is also proven, given production started around 2006, but obviously not for this model.

We are looking at one per squad. So motorized infantry will now finally have fire power on the move. It also makes the debut of 1st recon in China. If you watched Generation kill, you would understand.

Not sure how supplies are to be carried, since these battalions need to go deep inside enemy lines and may not have a chance at resupply. Maybe we will see some trucks added to the company mix for maximum speed and impact.

Through this unclear image, we can also see the future of China's infantry sort of. Night vision per man is pretty much in the works, I think one squad will get 1 or 2 of these ZH-05, the bullet proof vest is still in the works, but we can see it will be there. Also communication, and a lot of other American standards will be applied.

I forsee, 2017 at the latest for the start of these new gear, because 2019 is the 70s anniversary of new China, and I'm sure Xi would like the world to see a China that's equal to America, sort of. We may even see some fifth gen and hawks at the parade.

Good times, good times.

let's see some old night vision trials in Tibet.

Not very cool, next iteration of Chinese forces will be equipped with night vision. As all the evidence points to it. But this is kinda fun.

these things are going to suck if we are to use them for ASEAN, Japan, they be effective.

Like the Germans, they go into Soviet territory and got hit with no road to go on.

Lol these countries suck so much that even invading them is a chore. If we build roads along our advance than we are actually doing more good than harm.

no wonder Philippines is like this, they want us to build them infrastructure for free.
