New York Times suggests the best U.S strategy is to ignite a Shia-Sunni war

Its a personal opinion of a writer and not the foreign policy of USA.

Personally, I would support Assad and Shias in this fight. Shias mind their own business and only lash out when they are attacked.

Sunnis are hell bent on attacking others even when they haven't done anything to them.

Sunnis Extremists are far more dangerous than Shias.
Salafists are not sunnis nor muslims

They kill sunnis in Algeria, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Egypt

They never help sunnis palestinians because they are the dogs of the JEWS

.
I doubt the Americans or anybody has much to do to make Muslims kill each other. Really, the amount religious fanaticism & hatred of secular rule are more than enough to accomplish that.
The Catholic/Protestant-Conflict in Ireland looks like child play compared to this.

. .
... priority is compromise, peace, Asad should give power to some wise sunni leader
promising he would keep the alawis and christians safe ...

Too late. The Alawite minority - with christian - wants to keep the power acquired artificially (42 years) wathever it takes and she'll pay a high price. His definitive disappearance of Syria.

Not your business actually they decide not you.

Anyone still thinks U.S actually cares about the well-being of Syrian civilians?

This article by the influential " the Center for Strategic and International Studies", calls for igniting a wider Shia-Sunni war in Syria, which will only cause more devastating destruction and death of innocent civilians!

This is their strategy for Lebanon as well. No wonder there was a bombing in a Shia area and one week later in a Sunni area.

People shouldn't fall into this trap.

do you think, Iran or Saudi care about the well being of Syrians, no they dont and as long as their goals are met no matter how many and how civilians die, Shia or Sunni

Your right, but they won't get it, chance is you will get some Arabs respond to you showing that they have spent a few millions on giving Syrians tents and candy...

This is what will decide the majority of population (Sunnis - 75 %) see what they have experienced. This is the sad reality in all rutless logic. So that nevermore it does not happen in the future.

. . .
I see. Live in illusion. Otherwise Assad would from the first day events organized elections.

If your so confident that Sunnis are the majority then feel confident to say that Syrians will decide it.

I thought Assad was pushing for those UN monitored elections all the time, at least said by @Syrian Lion

Too late. There will be no election now with Alawites. It is their choice in January 2011. And their end.

Too many deaths, suffering and atrocities. It is cynical reality.

It is the Shias and Sunnis that give this power to the US. If Shia Sunni stop this infighting amongst themselves, the common enemy won't be able to take advantage of this Shia/Sunni divide. Both Iran an KSA contribute to this situation by fighting with each other.

Thought you were the pro KSA anti Iran guy, your contributing to this divide yourself, even in your own country.
