What about the Shamsi airbase that is leased to UAE princes to kill Pakistan's rare and endangered birds ? Shamsi airbase is at strategic location and the UAE lease must be cancelled and the airbase turned over to Pakistan Air Force.

Should airbases not be as far west from the Indian border as possible? I mean any incoming Indian aircraft/missiles would hit these bases within minutes.

Farther west gives you few more minutes by providing depth. Rohri is slightly over 50 miles from Indian border. For a incoming Indian fighter that is just time to bat a eyelid.

@Windjammer

UAE princes

What's wrong with you? They bought out our political elite long time ago. Even lot's of our retired/serving military personnel are give jobs with lucrative salaries which keeps Pakistan beholden to the princes.

These Arab Princes can hunt these "political elite" rather than the Pakistan's endangered birds.

Shamsi airbase fits all these requirements is at strategic location and must be a PAF base.

Bholari was planned long ago but was put on hold because of economic constraints and shortage of aircrafts...but now economy performing well and new jets are coming and bholari is on start..

Tbh in modern times an air force plays a major role in determining who is the winner of the war. Considering our defense doctrine and the amount of our enemy's planes, its not a bad ides to build a new base provided that its filled with jf17 and f16 rather than the crash machines. I know that Pakistan suffers from weak economy and the military is doing its best but we need a good punch Back against our enemies in an air battle.

i wish in future PAF should setup one Base at Nagarparkar in this way we can watch indian movie shows directly without satelite tv channels.....

Bholari in Sindh, is near Karachi. It might be a move by PAF to move some squadrons or expand out of Masroor, which is littered with birds and human population and hence is a big hazard, since the AEWACs are also based there.

There is an old airstrip at Bolari, and probably it will upgraded as an MOB.
Here is the exact location.

Buy some fighter jets ... Opening bases will not do anything

Exactly, I was also thinking the same thing. SU35 has been offered by Russians, GOD knows whats stopping Pakistan from finalizing the deal. PAF needs to get rid of old dying F7 & Mirage fast as they are now crashing on regular bases.
