New ‘Muslim-friendly’ nail polish a surprise hit

Typical response. See the word "Islam" or "Muslim" and start trolling

The first prayer (Fajr) is offered at dawn. Who in their right minds applies nail polish at that time ?? Although performing Wodhu before every prayer is highly recommended, one need not perform it if the Wodhu has remained unbroken and prayers can be offered directly. So there is no need to remove nail polish 5 times a day.
a nail polish once worn usually stays for a few days. so most likely the nail polish worn a couple days back would still remain.
to remove the nail polish we need to use a chemical called acetone.
if you use this very often the skin around the nails harden and in general too much chemical on your body is not that good.
so women generally do not put nail palish even on a daily basis let alone multiple times a day.
anyways.. my muslims friends tell me they never heard of this.. heck they say they dont pray 5 times daily.

.
As the population of muslims increases we will see more products labeled as 'Muslim-friendly'.

Great invention! Shows the seriousness of Europeans towards Muslims.

. . .
so you keep doing it 5 times a day? Do you understadn what you are proposing?
that s stupid.. and nails are dead skin , no point in making contact with nails

Dead or not, it still contains bacteria. Derp.

. .
most brits dont wear nail polish now a days, colorful false nails are all craze now, you can attach it to your nail.. but not sure how many times.. :)
BTW, instead of calling it silly we should use our enterprenural instinct to find all the dos and donts in islam, there is a massive market to be tapped (and enough maulvi to endorce our halal products)

@hinduguy THAT is the truth!

I went to a food conference once around 2010 or something and everyone was into the halal market! and were talking about how beneficial it is...non believers will eat anything but if it is halal, Muslims + Non Muslims will become the consumers HENCE more $$$$

I do not understand what nail polish has to do with committing salah, care to explain, has salah really become that much of a ritual overseas.

According to almost all scholars, it has to do with Wudhu....the water should touch and clean the nails...by coating it, water doesnt reach the nails....

No, I did not mean that. I did not say that anything that is halal, is better. Or non muslims will readily use halal product or services.
All I said is, this is an opportunity for enterprenures to be creative and make products and services that can tap into untapped market.
Recently there are many halal financial products from known companies. It will bring new customers in.

For every 'dont' in islam, there is a halal way to be discovered. All we need is creative people and willing maulvi (which we have plenty of)

Exactly.......If you wear nail polish after wudhu one can perform Salah you don't need to remove it before performing Salah and there is no direct connection between nail paint to Salah its related to Wudhu

I think this is brilliant marketing strategy ( in Red below)..

Before his death, Inglot was working to answer this question and gather other data on the product. The company’s other managers are deep in mourning over losing Inglot but plan to continue that effort. Inglot had insisted on having more data before he felt he could responsibly promote the varnish as being compliant with Islamic law.

An honorable man as well.

You raise a good point and essentially wudhu is to purify oneself before committing salatt so there could be areas that are not washed properly, however suffice to say my earlier point was regarding people now a days focussing on lengths of facial hairs, folds of pants(not joking seen some people at congregation do it) and other minor eccentrities and sometimes lose the real purpose of salah, which is to commit oneself to the divine laws, however I digress going off topic, btw merci @Talon, didn't know the connection between wudhu and salatt.
