Missile testing is currently at an all time high in South Asia. Missile testing ostensibly showcases technological development and strength. But the way India has generated visibility for its respective missile development programme is a definite case of its defence establishment trying to ‘outflex’ other regional players. Indian calling it a responsible and a peaceful regional power, its actions must responsibly be guided towards larger regional stability.

IMO , AD-1 has not reached the testing phase yet .

IMHO, Phase 1 was PAD bro, PDV is meant to replace PAD.

AD1 was suppose to be ready by 2016, we all the bout their timelines. If its a new missile, like the article is saying, it could very well be AD1 or it could be modified AAD with extended range called Ashwin.

I don't think PAD will ever be operationally deployed ....... IMO it will remain a TD for the PDV ..... what good can a liquid fuelled ABM do ??

The article is not talking about a new missile but just a scheduled test .
