We know there are already JF-17s assigned to CCS, maybe that unit is being given an independent designation or maybe this has something to do with the new ACES set up.

What I was told by someone is that Pakistan will produce at least 65 JF-17 BLOCK II I think last 15 will go to that squadron

It would make sense if these are the B model. It will have to be inducted into CCS anyway to develop tactics.

EDIT: Just realized that tactical squadron aligns well with B model for dropping tactical Air to Surface missiles in CAS role. It seems that model B is going to have a large presence in PAF, Insha Allah. Masha Allah. Alhamdulillah.

2020. Because the things that will go inside in Block-III are either in development stage or going through certification process. i.e HMD, AESA Radar, EW systems. IRST. Stand off weapons etc Hence PAF chief said, they are delaying Block III for 1.5 years so we dont get anything wrong for Block III

One rumour is that the PAF might delete some items to get certain equipment to the fleet early. IRST and AESA are ready. So go in early.

It would be extremely stupid to delete certain items. Block-III is the stop gap measure to fight all the 4.5 Generation threats of Adversary. It has to be top notch.

It is a pleasant sight to see jf-17s taking over the role of primary air and sea defenders from Mirages and Skybolts.

Lately, i see more thunders making late night sorties seawards and rarely a Mirage/ skybolt. Only if i could see the loadout man that would be awesome.

It can only be answered after the Specs of Block-III are released. If Block-III is going to be based on JF-17 B with increased length and wingspan. It would be impossible to upgrade earlier blocks to Block-III standard. If Block-III is going to retain the same specs of Block-II, then perhaps we might see earlier blocks upgraded to Block-III during one of the major overhauls in the mid-2020's

Block I and II may be upgradeable to block 2.5 - meaning everything could be upgraded to block Iii standards exceot those that demand structural changes.

ccs for it means they want to develop new doctrine to tackle enemy threat?

CCS will take JFT beyond its limits and will make complete tactics package for it making use of it to maximum potential.
