Anka was a student project of ITU, led by Dr Kemal Yillikci in late 90's. Its airframe was built but did not proceed beyond. It was intented as a very light two man helicopter. The empty airframe was on display at ITU aeronautical faculty.

Its a training helicopter mate. Just meant to train cadets and maybe even civilian helicopter pilots. If it can create jobs tomorrow I am sure you will feel warm inside.

Any progress is better than no progress.

Take pride in it and wish the project good luck. Your government is having the right attitude towards indigenization.
