Looks a bit like T-5000 orsis, maybe they got one from Iraq and managed to reverse engineer.

If its dead accurate and effective for long range then it seems a wonderful product coz it seems very sleek and light weight.

Only god knows! There are so many parallel projects going on you can easily lose track of them.

I had read somewhere that Iran does in fact have many small arms projects running. But it would be better for them to pick a handful and create them so that the troops and military have a standard issue weapon that has adequate repair parts and maintenance available to it. Over Diversifying the armory is not a good idea, but if this initiative works then keep on the path.

They won't continue all of them. It's kind of an organic "Survival of the fittest" approach in my opinion. They make all these different weapons but, adopting them in mass doesn't happen that fast. Iranian Armed forces are very picky in adopting new weapons. An example is Iranian assault rifle KH-2002. I think the first version was revealed in 2001 and there were I think around 3 revisions and it was not really seen in the hand of Iranian armed forces until about maybe 2 years ago.

First of all I hope you will produce hundreds and thousands of these "Tahir". I'm wishing it with all my heart...

Now, I am not trying to bash or disrespect you guys but
why is this "Tahir" been glued? It's not an common happening Iran to use silicone glue on rifles I guess.. ?

And is" Tahir" leaking oil or what ?

Just looking between "1" and the letter "m" and "e", "r" ..

Thanks in advance!

It does seem in fact to look like some sort of epoxy or adhesive. But it could be a weld spot (the sun is hitting it so it might come off as glue). But that still doesn't help the fact that all Scopes should be removable.

I'm guessing that this Tahir rifles is one of many rifles that the Iranian Army are testing out and seeing which ones they like and which ones they are willing to invest in and adopt as standard issue.

Given the big "Sniper 7.62x51mm" mark on it, it is a prototype and I guess they decided to test it during the war game. But I highly doubt it be glued down as it would break free with the first couple of shoots.could be some kind of lubricant I would say.

Thank you for the respectful reply brother, we appreciate it.

I do think this is a very early prototype/test version, maybe its even just for the cameras. Whats for certain is that the production version will not have these deficiencies. Iran has other types of rifles in service that are much, much better in terms of quality of production.
