On topic, this is a good law, yes you should visit your parents. They brought you into this world, fed you, clothed you and sheltered you till you were strong enough to venture out into the cold harshness of this miserable world.

And when they become frail, weak and unable to look after themselves just like you when you were a baby, you abandon them. Wow, what a sense of duty!

Totally agree with you. In the 10 commandments, there are rule about relationship with God and rules with our fellow men. After the ones dealing with God, the first commandment is "honor thy father and thy mother"

We should take care of our family by ourselves. Its not the government's responsibility to do what we ought to do by ourselves.

Very good initiative. And they should come up with something like compulsorily supporting elderly parents financially.

It has to do with govt forcing laws that go above and beyond in monitoring personal habits...just because you were not/ are not smart about the analogy- and it was reply to a Pakistani hence an analogy that he could hopefully get... I can't be blamed.

report me for the 3rd time too, because you are lacking understanding the simple concept that it was not about NATIONALITY! it is about " if you think this move by the govt is right ( Mr Pakistani whom I was ' originally' replying to), then why not have them also come in force you to pray 5 times and make it criminal law against religion ...!!!!
