Hi any senior memeber can shed some light about the 5 corps in Sindh we all expecting to go with Mangla and multan into their territory but as per their last standoff with Pakistan and bras tek they are trying to cut us through rajhistan or may be through their amphibious assault through Badin
So my thoughts are to have something for them on these two fronts also as these are quiet weakest sides of ours
Any more enlightenment from some seniors will be appreciated
Thank you

Hi,

The one at Panu aqil---that one along with Multan are the most important ones---.

. .
PA is beefing up capabilities of Strike Corps Multan, which is what is required, it shows in case of war PA will launch offensive inside India and to do that they are getting required equipment.

Good work.
LongBow Mmw makes the difference, if it comes inthe package.

The AH-1Z, which can be manufactured new or reworked from old AH-1W airframes, has quite a bit of room for future growth. It can be equipped to carry a version of the Apache’s AN/APG-78 Longbow fire control radar system, called the Cobra Fire Control Radar, which would give the Viper a much more formidable punch against armor formations, especially in bad weather. Although the USMC has not integrated the system on their 'Zulus,' when equipped with it the AH-1Z can also employ the AGM-114L millimeter-wave radar guided Hellfire missile.

HELLFIRE II AGM-114R maximum range:

Direct fire: 7 km
Indirect fire: 8 km
Minimum range: 0.5-1.5 km

Pakistan can have the helicopters upgraded with Longbow capability in future, if the Americans approve.

Just few choppers nothing that special

Pakistan Army Aviation can raise a squadron with 12 helicopters, with possible orders for three more. When AH-1F Cobra was acquired in the 1980's, each squadron had 10 helicopters only.
Look at the Hellfire II payload of AH-1Z. :smitten:

I think Just E/O systems on AH-1Z can guide AGM-114 Hellfire. A Mmw is not really required for Hellfire II.

You are right, the AN/AAQ-30 Target Sight System includes laser designator for guiding AGM-114R 'Romeo' Hellfire II.

AN/APG-78 Longbow MMW FCR is required for the AGM-114L 'Longbow' Hellfire.

. .
Why Multan?

The reason is that these helis are used against mechanized divisions and most probably from Rajhistan area India can try its cold start doctrine.Multan is just 80 km away from Bahawal pur. These heli could be at border in 10 min if required.

.
A future conflict there will see the Cobras pitted against the Apaches for the first time and everyone around the world would be watching to see which of these two US helos come on top

IMO, each other air forces will be pitched against those
their job will be to hunt tanks not fight each other

Good work.

So PAF will launch offensive inside India using AH-1Z Cobras........I wonder what evasive maneuvers the Cobras will employ when they face AH-64E Apache's in Indian arsenal!

make sense, but to strike deep inside India you need to neutralize their Airforce or at least paralyze them .. what are our plans to for strike Missions ? Mirage III/V ROSE ?

Are you serious?

Is that what we will use for strike missions??? How will these survive against SU-30 Super MKI's and Rafale on CAP let alone integrated SAM based layered defense network of India and their superior AWACS?
