Good morning guys.
@bhimram , the "Ambekar liked/endorsed RSS" charade is too much to take.
You have anything to substantiate the above ?
To my knowledge it was the opposite.
A very apt answer from Quora:
Dr. Bhimrao Ramaji Ambedkar, the chief architect of Indian constitution is one of the most revered figure, whose legacy is being hijacked by all the political parties to consolidate Dalit votes.
For this reason all are concerned, what were B.R.Ambedkar’s views about them. Parties are sifting the old documents and bookd to find a favorable remark about them, use it without context to claim his legacy.
RSS although as claimed, is not a political party but they are doing the job for the political party which promotes them. So RSS is flashing this comment from B.R.Ambedkar.
Dr. Ambedkar in 1939:
“
This is the first time that I am visiting the camp of Sangh volunteers. I am happy to find absolute equality between Savarniyas (Upper Caste) and Harijans (Lower Caste) without any one being aware of such difference existing.”
The irony here is that B.R. Ambedkar burnt the copy of Manusmriti for its castist laws which caused thousands of years of Dalit opression and persecution. RSSs second chief M.S.Golwalkar, fondly called Guruji, said about Manu.
“Was the first the wisest and the greatest lawgiver in the history of mankind.”
RSS never really distanced, itself from Guruji’s views about Manu or Manusmrity. Golwalkar on many occaissions endorsed and praised Caste system in India. To take both M.S.Golwalkar and B.R. Ambedkar on their side is like riding two horses, both going in opposite direction.
Quote from Babasaheb Ambedkar: in protest of Hindu caste system:
“Though, I was born a Hindu, I solemnly assure you that I will not die as a Hindu.”
While RSS believes in supremacy of Hinduism and Dr. Ambedkar was disgusted with it. Dr. Ambedkar always spoke against extreme form of Hindutva. Because of injustice faced by him he renounced Hindu faith and converted to Buddhism. His views about RSS are not direct but about Hinduism.
“Slavery will not be tolerated in the name of religion. This Manusmriti, in the very first chapter says that Brahmans are created from Brahma’s (creator’s) head, Kshatriya from his hands, Vaishyas from his thighs and Shudras from his feet. By burning this Manusmriti, we launch a mission to uproot casteism from its roots. But getting rid of caste alone is not our goal, this is the beginning of social revolution which would end Brahman hegemony.”
“A bitter thing cannot be made sweet. The taste of anything can be changed. But poison cannot be changed into nectar.” (in response to Mahatma Gandhi's efforts to reclaim Dalits back into the Hindu fold.)
“…no one can doubt that there was a time when Hindus, both Brahmins and non-Brahmins, ate not only flesh but also beef.”
“I will not believe in Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh. Neither would I worship them.”
These are Dr. Ambedkars views about caste system and RSS which supports it covertly.
