Well according to my valley CONTACTS (i dont endorse their views by the way) they acts as mukhbars and facilitators of India in Kashmir so removing them from a locality means removing India from a locality you can disagree with them but this is their view point

I'm not a huge fan of the Mughals in India. Instead of looking at the Mughals take a look how the early Arabs conducted their work. The companions or the prophet have never told non-Muslims to pay tax to worship their idols. Mughals aren't really a good idea for your argument.
