NATO declares support for GNA in Libya.

Each NATO country does what it does. There is no NATO high command that orders every NATO country to do something just as there is no UN high command that orders every UN country to do something.

Is this authentic news? I dont think NATO will provide any military help but this gives legitimacy to Turkey to use full force.
Turkey have settled for less in Syria and should not make same mistake, thus should be quick and decisive to end haftar before others join fully.

As for Syria, it’s been a totally different strategy!! Now, Russia is at damn odds with the Esed regime for Putin wants to see money!!! The Afgan memory, thanks to Pak, is still fresh in his mind!!! And, the US/KSA/UAE supported Kurdish YPG/YPD held area is also there! The Turkish strategy is to maintain a stalemate with Russia while preparing to get the Kurdish held region back, which is one third of Syria with mostly Sunnis...

Thanks to the Coronavirus, all the major outsiders in Syria are falling out! After Libya full concentration will be on Syria! In the meantime PKK strongholds in the Northern Irak is falling apart! And, the Turkish forces are already there in Kandil, the most difficult terrain with the PKK HQ...

And, Turkey and Israil are negotiating to divide the petrochemical wealth in the Eastern Med between themselves under the US oversight...

Its still good for Turkey but before Russia joined, Syria was almost taken by rebels. Turkey could have easily replaced asad and bring a democratic system. Now after Russia joined, its stalemate and delayed. Turkey should be quick and decisive in Libya before its gets to a similar stalemate.

Unfortunately, Turkey's moves were severely limited by a US-based quasi-religious sect named FETO/Gulenists. They were behind the failed 2016 coup attempt in Turkey. During the crucial first few years of the "Arab Spring" Turkey was dealing with a lot of internal strife dealing with them and we were in no position to make such decisive moves in Syria. Actually we're still in the process of purging them.
