Oh I'm sorry - but didn't India agree in the UN and to UNSC resolutions to resolve the dispute through a plebiscite? How about fulfilling your own commitments first before lecturing others.

What happened to the ban? Was it a temp ban like the ones on defence.pk? :D

Your country is suffering more, frankly. If you're fine with Jehadis addressing public rallies then what can anyone say about it.

Why holiday on Kashmir Solidarity Day?

KASHMIR Solidarity Day is being observed today across the country and on both sides of the Line of Control to express support for the oppressed people of Kashmir for their right to self-determination. It is not only morale boosting for those who have been subjected to atrocities by the Indian occupation forces but to mobilise international opinion for their just cause and remind the United Nations and major players in international politics to fulfil their commitment for a plebiscite in Kashmir.

Every year on 5th February Government of Pakistan declares the Day as a Public holiday to enable the masses from all walks of life to participate in rallies and other events to demonstrate their unflinching support to their brethren. This year too it is holiday and all offices, educational institutions, banks and businesses are closed. We plead the Federal and Provincial Governments not to make it customary holiday and let the affairs of the State run as usual. According to estimates, the country suffers loss of over Rs 4 billion for a single holiday which it can ill afford. The revenue thus generated by working on 5th February may be contributed for the welfare of Kashmiris including those in refugee camps and that will be a great service to them. Already we as a nation are known to be fond of taking too many holidays during a year as compared to other nations. Father of the Nation, Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah in an address had given the message of work, work and work to the countrymen to make Pakistan strong and prosperous. Closure of industries and offices on holidays cause losses in production and taxes while poor people particularly the daily wage earners suffer the most. Instead of enjoying holiday in the name of Solidarity with the Kashmiris, it would be a great service to the oppressed Kashmiris, if through acts and deeds we do our bit to create greater awareness at the domestic and international level and mobilise opinion through debates and conferences for the resolution of the lingering dispute. An economically strong Pakistan would be in a better position to get its voice heard at the international level for the resolution of Kashmir problem.
