J-10A was never for Sales.

Please provide credible source that J-10A was offered for exports to any country for Sales in the first place.

PS. These mig-29 are probably the russian air force inventory of 2+ decades old that will be refurbished and Sold on a agreed relative lower price.

J-10 with its single engine was more risky compared to the twin engined Mig-29.

So any single engine fighter is risky so US must be stupid enough with their F-16s or Turkey or israel and on and on..

The J-10 is a product of widespread assistance by the western powers during the years of the Cold war. During the cold war, the U.S encouraged Israel to help the Chinese boost their capabilities against what they considered as the "Evil Empire" which was giving the whole western world & China quite a challenge. China and the Soviet Union were at each other throats after the Soviets refused to bow down to china's demands to return "their" land. After many bloody skirmish, where the Chinese suffered enormous causalities on the hands of the vastly superior Red Army, there was much bad blood between them.

The only skirmishes between China and Russia were the Zhenbao Island skirmish and minor disputes in Xingjiang in 69 and the 70s. I don't know where the author got the "massive casualties" from since neither side lost more than 100 men.

Sounds pretty sensationalistic to me. It isn't realistic for the PLAAF to start selling J-10s in 09 since it was, and still is, a premier fighter.

Myanmar should have bought the J-10 since it is cleary superior in dogfighting and manouverability than the MIG-29. The onlly Russian fighters that can match the J-10 are the Su-27/30 series and the MiG-31, while the PAK-FA is of course superior than J-10.
