What's new

My view on Iran

That's the parents' fault. I never seen one nor do I plan to. But one of my friends did he tells me now even the idea of murder makes him sick to his stomach. So it actually didn't encourage violence but far from it. And you talk as if it is a normal sight. It is rare that an execution would happen in your area more than once in your life time.

My Saudi neighbor that I hang out with it said it is done after Friday Prayers outside Mosque regularly.

.
this I fully support. Why?? because the whole point of execution is to be as a stark warning against any people who dare do such things (Murder,Rape,Drug Trafficking). An Electric chair in some execution room is extremely cruel. Execution as punishment is wrong as it is done in many places around the world. But it should be as deterrent for criminals.

And this is the most painless way to execute criminals if I was given a choice to which way I would go I would pick this. A strike on the brain stem will kill all nociceptor function.

Can you post any stastic that the crimes you mentioned came down in KSA over the years especially among the local population.

wasn't it a Sudanese man who was beheaded because he was a magician or something?

i have seen a video tape of him being beheaded. and it is true, this is less painfull than being shocked to death, but the problem is... if he misses to completely behead him. that's where the real pain is!

I forced to start this thread to show exactly my view on Iran and who I defend, please don't mess up this thread as its for peaceful discussion.

Okay, well I was 8 years old when I alongside my family left Iran and came here in the U.K.
alot of people here think I am an anti-islamic person but in reality I only dislike the Idea of an Islamic Iran, you see I am an atheist and I believe all religions are an Ideology, so I hate the Idea of persians following an arabic ideology called Islam.

When I was on school in Iran and I was about 7 years old I actually won a quran competition, where we had to sing (I don't know what it actually called) some parts of quran, and I actually won, so I was a very religious Person when I was in Iran. when i came to the UK I realised the glory of ancient Iran such as the time of the Zoroastrian kings cyrus, darius etc this was something i did not get taught in Iran because in Iran they keep everything Islamic and I realised how from a young age the regime fills head of the youth with junk and forces them to follow their ideology...I am now extremely anti islamic Iran and always will be. I believe everyone in Iran should have the right to choose their own religion and not get forced, our very great nation of Persian was created in that great image by the great Cyrus...he is a symbol of resistance to current day Iran to me, because he stood for freedom.

My family were Zoroastrian originally but where extremely opressed by the regime to a point where they actually had to follow Islam just to be accepted. My brother was kicked out of uni in Iran just because he said he will always value our ancient root over this current BS.

Even isrealis these days respect out culture more than these other peoples in the region, people like redbeard in this forum disrispect our great religion Zorasotrain by saying we worship fire, which is weird since if that is true then that means muslims must worship mecca since they face it when they pray...Zoroatrians face towards light when they pray whether Its the sun or fire, it does not mean they worship it.

I dont dislike Islam as a whole, I have pakistani,Iraqi muslim friends who I get on with fine and they respect my opinion, I Hope people in Iran know how I feel, And please dont see me as some sort of enemy of yours, All I want is our nation to be Great again and not be run by another countries culture.

this is your personal opinion :) but maybe other iranians have difrent opinion so i respect your opinion but try to accept other iranians opinion iran is one nation so that nation cant be like how think one person

I have the firm belief that as long as a government is not foreign imposed and directly propped up by foreign rulers, that is the government that nation deserves, good or bad. The ayatollahs are not some tiny clique that's ruling Iran. They have, like it or not, a substantial base of support. Whether this support is good or bad, no one can say.

The greatest trick the West ever pulled was to convince people that their culture is the best.

America's culture is what, 200 years old?

Whereas the cultures in Asia (including the Middle East), have lasted for thousands and thousands of years. Asian culutres have proved that they can stand the test of time.

It is right and correct that we should be proud of our history and culture.

sorry, i will be dead by then, no pain!

let's try with you then shall we? try to be shocked to death and tell us how you feel meanwhile. cause you will feel the pain and be alive for some seconds before you are dead!

The Iranian people that I have met are very liberal and open minded. If Iran's regime were to change and all the mullahs were thrown out then I believe Iran could surpass Turkey as the model Muslim majority country. Unlike the Arabs, Iranians have worked hard to make their country prosper. Even people living in Iran have a sense of modernism, they are pretty modern for a country with an Islamist regime.
As for Zoroastrians, I freakin love those people. I know many Zoroastrians (Parsis) in Karachi and they are awesome people.

. .
I hope current gov in IRAN stays. Ayatollah khamini's regime has tremendous support and under this very islamic gov IRAN made
phenomenal progress over the 30 years. And don't forget Iran's current GOV came to power through popular support & a
revolution.
With all due respect to the thread strater i would like to say that you should come to accept that IRAN is a majority muslim state
now. Culture & past glory no matter how mighty it was is irrelevant in ISLAM. ISLAM was spread through peaceful means all
over the world. Every muslim country has a pre-islamic history but that history & culture is irrelevant now.

.
KSA is not the issue of this thread, but KSA situation is completely different than of Iran's. KSA development is connected to its oil reserves, and I do not think it has independent basis for long term technological and educational development. I never been to KSA, so perhaps you right about some changes being made and some places more developed than in the past. However the core problem of KSA is that it is a very religious and very conservative country, so a real civil society is almost impossible. Iran, on the other, already got what it needs to compete in the modern world, all it needs to do is get rid of the current murderers in power.
