It's funny how non karachites try to lecture karachites and think they are the experts and know everything about the city.

Supporting MQM was right thing because ppp is the worst party of Pakistan
And this time they have voted for PTI and without Karachi seats Imran Khan couldn't have become prime minister
He would definitely work for Karachi but Karachi isn't a small city it would take some time to improve it

Then why are people crying and blaming PPP and PMLN not doing anything if MQM did more than everyone?

PPP controls the provincial assembly, government, and funds! That's the problem. MQM rightly complains that they dont have the power/authority or funds to bring any major change.

This is why people in Karachi continue to vote MQM and IMO if MQM wasnt so divided this time around PTI wouldn't have won all the seats that they did.

I agree and disagree.

Karachi problems cannot be solved overnight and will take a long time - totally agree.

But how many times has IK visited Karachi? Spoke of Karachi? Taken any major interest in what is happening in the city? Announced any package for Karachi? Spoke of turning it into a seperate province? Or even stay with Sindh but have it's own funds and local government and police etc?

MQM did more for Karachi than PPP+N+PTI combined. I hate Altaf, I know MQM ghundagiri, and I know of MQM corruption. But go to Karachi and ask locals and hear them tell you exactly what i am saying here.

Actually they did more damage then development/ cleaning etc etc they often did verbal only, i am from Karachi, i suffer/see lot strike where whole MQM and its gang lock down entire city, @Jinn Baba

Constitutionally , PTI (Federal Government can only allocate funds for Karachi)
It is up to local people Sindh/Karachi to sort out the distribution of money and contractors

If services are not rendered to people they can sue , Provincial Government for failing to provide adequate support

World wide this is a normal practice


a) Electricity
b) Water
c) Sewage
d) School (Public)
e) Hospitals (Public)

These are all basic living services and part of infrastructure

Law suits should be filed against MQM/PPP , in Supreme courts by Citizens of Karachi


10,000-20,000 Citizens should take complaint to Supreme court


Courts can track paper trail of Money and figure out just who is in charge

If you ask me I would say that best option for Karachi is to vote for PPP in provincial elections (MPAs etc.), yes I know it is an unpopular opinion but in my view it is the right one. Sindh government is not going to go out of the clutches of PPP, by NOT voting PPP the people of Karachi themselves alienate them and make PPP angry so I can understand why PPP ignores Karachi, it is so logical. Vengeance and Revenge are traits shared by people living across indus valley for centuries whether Sindh or Punjab, in this region people historically do take "revenge" in very "innovative ways" just like PPP is doing by ignoring Karachi because for them it is a useless place politically speaking so why should they care about it when the people of karachi will keep hating them and voting other parties like MQM or PTI. Even a fool can also understand, yes people will say about "oh you know this is against morality" but no one gives a damn about "morality" in real politics. PPP government of Sindh wants to spend more money on the areas of Sindh from where they are elected, the day when they will also be elected from Karachi they will start spending on Karachi too.
Disclaimer, I am not endorsing PPP.

Karachi won't surrender to corrupt feudals, dynasty politics....very difficult to do that. Karachi should stage mass protests. Here, rights are snatched not given
