you may try translating it yourself.....

although i understand that you guys speak french as a foreign language not english.

.
the bits i understand is
its your family tree and it says your great grand fathers name as "sidi khalif"
and goes on to say that he was a descendent of the Holy prlphet (PBUH).

One interesting thing i noted is that it says "walii uss saaleh".....
That means an islamic spiritualist cleric.
was he a saint?

.
why i am asking this is becaue i been to sousse you home town in late 90s a/d early 2000s...
i noticed many saint shrines all over Tunisia and Algeria.....many are on hill tops....
Is that how Islam came to north Africa...via saints and traders from Arabia?
and nobody forced the Tunisian berber tribes to convert to Islam?

Is not Tunisian Arabic a bit different from Saudi Arabic with influence of the Berber language

No one ever was forced to convert to Islam anywhere... anytime.

its from old days...now the arabic there is hardly recognisable..
last time i was in tunisia with an egyptian friend he couldnt understand what the tunisians are saying...
now its Arabic+ barbaree+ french.

the OP is very simple..and understandable though..
its a list of the names of his forefathers all the way to the Holy Prophet (PBUH)

No one ever was forced to convert to Islam anywhere... anytime.

exactly..
thats what i wanted to hear from the OP as we muslims get blamed a lot in this context....

It is not all that difficult to translate, I am not a native Arabic speaker but I can translate it very well so what difficult for you dear? Tunisia is an Arabic speaking country isn't it? What this would make you is somehow blood relative of Hashmite family but nothing to do with prophet himself as the genealogy is carried forward by a male heir.

Sidi Khalif of the tribe of the sons of Leith descendants of the Great Prophet, peace be upon him, which Mr. Khalif, bin Nile, Ben Ahmed, Ben Abdallah bin Abd al-Wahid, bin Abdul Karim , bin Omar bin Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Ali , ibn Abdullah ibn Idris Asghar, bin Idris Akbar , Ben Mohamed, Ben Hassan, Ben Ali ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) and Fatima Zahra, the daughter of the Prophet God bless him and peace to God

i translate it and i fix the mistakes

His line was carried forward by his daughters*. Not all Hashemiyun are from the ashraaf obviously.

* That's the general view afaik. samebozo vs the world, I think I'd go with the latter!

Sidi Mootaz, tu pourrais nous écrire ton prénom fil 3arabiyyah s'il te plaît? Mon petit cerveau le digère pas en anglais.

I just asked your first name written in the Arabic script. I can't understand what this name 'mootaz' is unless I can see it that way. Thanks.
