there are two things That i know about chinese ethnic who become a muslim. First, most of them become a muslim because they're married to a muslim.second, Most of them already giving up their chinese identity.

btw, i want to ask you something. How exactly muslim chose someone to be an ustad? Because for me the guy number 2 (felix siauw) is not more than a racist and intolerant guy. It's really disappointing if someone like him called as an ustad. I don't mean to offend you or other muslims but i have my own argument why i dislike this guy.

Today Ustad is there because of popular demand, being famous because of his/her speech ability. Yup, I have seen Feelix speech before. Not like Catholic, in Islam every body can be a religious preacher if there is a demand from people. Feelix is good for young people ( teenagers)

For me, my favorite Ulama is like Quraish Shihab, deep knowledge Ulama. Most educated Muslim will prefer Ulama like Quraish Shihab and for economy is Shafii Antonio.
