Its sick they bully their own people, they bully their neighbors.

And its not about nationalism but about chauvinism and the dictator rule of a party.....CPC
CPC is nothing but a control fre@k , i see it as that crazy ambitious dad who beats and tortures his own son so that he stands first in class not realising when he becomes big he would hate him for that!

No where in the world i have seen a flag inside mosque like above pic.

Can u show me a single photo like above be it it Saudi Arabia, pakistan etc.

Stop cheer leading for china one needs to be strong enough to say wrong a wrong if its wrong.

china gives u some money and weapons that does not mean u defend and agree with anything they do.

Its about Islam and its about right of Muslims and believers.

You people are very good in propagandizing ..

I know it is about Islam .. Do you want me to believe that placing flag means that Muslim inside China were forced to worship Flag ?? :ashamed:

A true believer don't spread falsehood .. :disagree: ..

There is unrest in that region and CPC is directly linking religion to that unrest, what they are trying to do is to dilute, if not completely wipe out the religion from that region. This is their solution to curb the unrest.
They banned Ramadan fasting also, here are the results from random google search:

And don't bother about Pakistani reactions, they are always apologetic about China, China is their last straw that is keeping them from sinking.

What kind of a ludicrous argument is that ? By that logic the names of the first 4 Caliphs adorning the walls of the Pulpit Area where the Qari (the guy who leads the prayer & recites out load) is sitting everyone else is worshiping Abu Bakr, Umar, Usman & Ali (Peace Be Upon Them All) ? :what:

don't know weather they were forced to worship chinese flag but what i can't understand is the need to place the national flag in there ..it is like placing a pakistani flag inside a church or a temple. That dosen't make any sense right? or maybe it does.
Maybe it is china's way of dealing with its non-atheist citizens:china:

True but they do this more out of there ideology of being atheist not to specifically obstruct religious practice with an intent or purpose

Uyghur Muslims face lots of religious restrictions in China even restrictions on fasting during Ramadan.

The Koran makes no such injunction either way - Most Muslims have reduced, what the rest of us believe as, God's Word to a Traffic Rules & Regulations Manual when it isn't such !

I for one would welcome such a move in Pakistan !

In case of China I think its got a bit to do with the fact that there, unlike the rest of the Muslim World, Muslim Scholars like Hu Songshan stressed Chinese Nationalism & melded that with Islam in a wonderful symbiotic relationship so maybe its acceptable to Chinese Muslims - certainly the Hui Muslims don't ever have any issue with the authorities whilst these Uighurs do ! You won't even find a Hui Muslim, to the best of my knowledge, ever accused of Anti-State Activity or any kind of religious extremism & then you've got other Muslim Communities there who haven't an issue !

Xinjiang is more of a Pan-Turkic meets Muslim Extremist concoction that perhaps could've been better handled by the Chinese Authorities & nipped in the bud !

Perhaps @Hu Songshan can shed better light on these things !

A Uighur website, Uighurbiz.net, posted a photograph of a Chinese national flag placed above the prayer area of a mosque in Aksu, a county in Xinjiang’s western Uighur heartland.

A move by authorities to place the national flag in the prayer area of a mosque in the far-western Xinjiang region has brought criticism from the local Muslim Uighur ethnic group and ignited fresh debate over the Communist Party’s religious policies.

Ilham Tohti, a Beijing-based Uighur professor of economics, who teaches at the National University of Minorities and is a prominent advocate for Uighur rights, on Thursday described the move as part of a policy by the government “to dilute” religious beliefs in Xinjiang.

A Uighur website, Uighurbiz.net, posted a photograph of a Chinese national flag placed above the prayer area of a mosque in Aksu, a county in Xinjiang’s western Uighur heartland.

Provincial government officials could not be reached for comment on whether the move was part of a change in official policy. Thursday was a holiday for government offices in China on account of the Mid-Autumn Festival.

The article on the Uighurbiz website said the move had been enforced in many mosques in Aksu.

Mr. Tohti told the website he saw the campaign as an attempt “to boost patriotism”, but one that violated the religious autonomy that is granted under law to Muslims. Under the regional ethnic autonomy law, the State cannot interfere in religious practice.

The Xinjiang government has, however, in recent months put in force a slew of religious restrictions, Mr. Tohti noted, pointing to recent public campaigns in Hotan, in southern Xinjiang, warning people against wearing “religious clothing”, such as veils, and also asking men to not grow beards. Mr. Tohti said the moves were likely to further anger the community, against the backdrop of recent unrest in Xinjiang.

In an earlier interview with The Hindu, Mr. Tohti said government policies were fuelling tensions.
Widening disparities

The development approach, he said, had been focused on merely achieving rapid growth based on utilising the region’s rich energy reserves, and resulted in widening disparities between local Uighurs and the growing number of majority Han Chinese migrants.

He called for a more inclusive approach to growth and for easing religious restrictions, including recent bans on students and teachers in universities from fasting during the month of Ramadan.

Well about the need one can only make assumptions but the question here is about whether they are forced or not.. ?? Simply No

I can admit it as wrong deed only if anyone can prove it wrong according to the Islamic perspective ..

I am surprised by the reactions of some pakistanis they can't even imaging their demi god china to do anything wrong

Well , putting an Islamic avatar won't make you pious than others .

Nothing more to say ..

China knows well how to deal with those Uighur people...Good to See that....One thing is very clear in China... If you want to live in China, one must adhere Chinese Rules...And this is good one...I appreciate it.

I still didn't get why someone wanna put the national flag in any religious place. I would have considered it wrong even if it was India. but for some cheer leaders, Its okay and perfectly alright since its China. lol
