Omar,

Let me assure you that this Islamophobia is something that rankles me also.

But then let us search within our hearts.

What is leading to this type of phobia becoming commonplace?

Now, suppose a Hindu from India or a Hindu from Pakistan suddenly goes into a meat shop and brings down the carcasses of cows and burns it up in a butcher's shop in Pakistan because it affects his religious sentiments, would you applaud it and say that the Hindu is right and his sentiments has to be upheld in a Muslim majority country, where beef is a staple?

Therefore, this attitude of forcing your religious sentiments in a country that is not Muslim is a bit over the top and not quite rational.

It only encourages Islamophobia!

Is asking permission necessary to take photograph in India at public places? What does the law say?

No such permission or laws required. But if a person complains that his/her photo has been taken without his/her conscent, it can be lodged by the police.

Taking Photograph reduces Life span

Why take a picture of a stranger in the first place.
He was taking photos of the square, not of people.

The details: I was at Yonge-Dundas Square with my nine-year-old son. We ate pizza. We drank bubble tea. And I used my new Canon camera to take photos of this neon shrine.

In a public setting, you give up your right to privacy, so if you wander into the photographer's field of view, that is your problem, not his.

I informed the lady I was in a public square in a democracy. I can actually take pictures of whomever I please.

I am afraid you cant do every sh!t in the name of democracy. you cant take people's photos without their permission.

Sir western societies are coming to Islam Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world

So you wanna say Islam ideology will rule whole US, Europe and even rest of the world. You believe such possibilities ?? or Any specific plan ?? You know people like you are Justifying Western and Non-Muslims changing mindset with such comments.

I think in this case it was okay since he wasn't specifically taking a picture of them. It's just that they happened to be in the picture at the time.

Yes, if you take a pciture in a public place which is not meant to capture the photo of an individual/individuals then it is absolutely fine, but that person said: in a democracy. I can actually take pictures of whomever I please.

On the other hand, that woman with hijab shouldnt have made a drama out of it, just ignore it, what is the harm.
