This can only happen once the economic disparity between Muslim nations is negligible, what has Gulf countries got to gain from this? Nothing at all. They benefit with the status quo.

You can either have a common development plan or seperate individual development plan, you can't have both, case in point - UK vs EU.

Houthis are a guerrilla army. They cannot fight fixed battles. An infantry attack with air support will make them flee and so in this manner they can be defeated.

Idea is plausible. But lets examine some facts first.
As combined power, which enemy we will fight? Are we providing justice to our own population? People from Muslim countries are running away to non Muslim countries, why? Because of uneven social system and justice system. Are we ready to fight the enemy within? Then after that we can defeat any other enemy(and trust me, your so called enemies will come running to you for business and economy after that).

No other Muslim community that actually has pride in it's owm heritage would ever join such a losers community call ed MU. The Turks really don't carry the complex of racism or historical slavery to whites, neither do the Iranians who often in fact have illusions of superiorty grounded in the glorious history of Persia.

Then you have Arabs. They can be broadly divided into three sub-groups. The North African Arabs who have a strong link with Mediteranean Europe or Africa. They are unique and would never fit into MU since their economy destiny is tied to Europe/Mediteranean.

The other Arab sub-group is Levantine Arabs of Lebnon, Syria, Jordan. They again are more Mediteranean and often have strong bias for French culture. This lot would pefer being with Greeks then South Asia brown desis.

Which leaves the sand Arabs pf Saudia, UAE, Oman. This lot would have made perfect 'desis' to join the MU with South Asian brownies. But they found oil and they dream of being Texans, Californians then poor Pakistanis who they look at as dark skinned servants - the Sand Arabs are in the process of reinventing their race by marrying on industrial scale with Syrian, Lebanese wifes or European brides to lighten their breed so placing them apart from the South Asia desi Miskeens.

So what is Muslim Union left with? Well the garbage of Muslim world. Inferiority ridden Pakistan with no heritage, Negro reverts with no culture of their own, failed Somali pirates, Muslims converts in slums of India who dream of being Muslim Turkic invaders.

That is about the only meaning of Muslim Union. Brown, kicked about by gora [white racism] , rootless Blacks and convert Muslim from lower order Hindus in South Asia.

Muslim Union (MU)​

The European Union (EU) experiment has been a huge success in combining the economic power and manpower of different countries in Europe. Visa free travel between the countries and ability to settle down and work anywhere has resulted in movement of cheap labor from Eastern European countries to advanced countries.

Muslims should also take guidance from this example and convert the already existing Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) into an Economic Union. OIC has been until now mostly a discussion forum where issues relating to Muslim Ummah were discussed. OIC played a positive role during the Afghan Jihad against the Soviet Union.

General (Retd.) Raheel Sharif is already leading the Saudi Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC; Arabic: التحالف الإسلامي العسكري لمحاربة الإرهاب, a military coalition of 41 Muslim countries which is mainly focused on fighting the war against Houthi rebels in Yemen.

However, it seems that the coalition would perform much better if its manpower is from Pakistani, Malaysian, Indonesian and African soldiers.

The new Union should adopt a common currency and have Visa free travel between the member countries and have joint Defense.

Every member country should have its elected government but at the center should be a Muslim Parliament with members elected from all the Muslim countries and a head of Muslim Union called Sadr-e-Dawlah.

The Muslim Union should have its common economic development policies with each county having its separate policies as well for some subjects.

Pakistan is the founding father of OIC. Now same OIC is not ready to pass a resolution in Kashmiri's favor. For Pakistan, it is best to make alliance with Turkey and Malaysia. Arabs are gone with Israel.

They just need to be proud of their own Pakistani identity and stop clinging to the idea of united Islamic "ummah" which is just a flawed idea that won't work due to sectarianism, selfishness, and superiority complexes.

Pakistanis need to learn to be proud of being Pakistani and have their own unique identity, not leech and beg off anyone else.

OIC could be a template for you guys but blocs are all about economics. Let's see the order of advancement:

1. TIER 1: Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Brunei, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, Turkey, Iran (if we ignore sanctions). These are the most advanced in terms of infrastructure, are either commercial capitals or oil/resource-rich nations of the Islamic world. Turkey is the most industrialized among these countries.
2. TIER 2: Malaysia,Azerbaijan, Morocco, Albania, Maldives, Indonesia, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan. Infrastructurally fairly modern, with a mix of industrial, services, and resource-rich economies.
3. TIER 3: Bangladesh, Algeria, Egypt, Tanzania, Nigeria, Pakistan. Infrastructurally developing but with huge growing potential and seeing large investments. Future powerhouses.
4. TIER 4: The rest

All these countries have very different economies. Turkey and Iran are industrial powerhouses with extensive manufacturing capabilities, while Saudi is trying to get there rapidly moving away from oil. Meanwhile Brunei, Kuwait, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan are resource havens. Pakistan, Malaysia, Indonesia and Bangladesh are rapidly advancing but will take some time to get to Turkey's level.

But getting a tariff free regime among all these countries would be very, very difficult. Some countries will get undue benefits while the others will have to foot the bill for a lot of programs, activities and investments.

The EU has 3 critical requirements before being accepted into their union:
a) Be a liberal westernized democracy (Political)
b) Stand for free & open markets (Economic)
c) Have at least half of your territory as a part of European continent (Geographic).

Can OIC / Islamic Union come to a common list of requirements like this? If having more than 50% of population as Islamic is your only category, then good luck uniting everyone under the same banner. Geopolitical statements are very different from trade, economic & military realities.

Questions:

• How will power be distributed? Elections? UNSC-model?
• Will there be 1-vote-1-member model on issues?
• Who will define the economic policy?
• What will be the group's collective security framework?
• How would regional/geographical distances or conditions be considered to ensure equity?

It's a big dream. I mean, really really big. The first thing we need to realize is that this idea is the peak of Mount Kaf. There isn't even enough intellectualism for that in muslim countries. There are so many things that people don't even wanna to talk about. We still try yo understand and evaluate even our own bonds and cultural bases, under the influence of western orientalists. In every period when Islam is targeted by the world hegamons, We try to explain ourselves to the world that 'this is not the real Islam', while someone weaponize or radicalize our common values for into their own interests.

There is a great identity crisis in Islamic communities. I cannot blame anyone for this, we are the party that was defeated while the current world order was being established. Our borders, our geopolitical risk factors, and therefore even our relationships with each other, are actually based on programming against our will. But those who deny this and embrace the idea of the ummah, still far from have the equiping to cover this great idea. I do not want to paint a very pessimistic picture, there is hope for the future. But we are not even at the beginning of the path.
