Muslim girls wearing Hijab barred from classes at Indian college

"Why do people not answer why this (women wearing Hijab) bothers them, how does it affect their freedom in school? These people are objecting to a practice that has no bearing on them," says Congress's Shashi Tharoor.

If that is the case, maybe start with shunning of the castes in actual instead of trying to hide behind this fake equality. Maybe tomorrow allow dalits to visit Brahman temples and see for yourself how that works out for you

Firstly there are no Brahmin temples in India, FYI Modi is from a backward cast and he is PM of India. Other dalits and OBCs all receive reservation in education, jobs and more. There are stringent laws in IPC for any caste related bias etc.

Uniform requirements are enforced by individual schools and colleges and when you become part of the said institutions you adhere to their rules. Else you are free to wear whatever you want but not wherever you want. Others be it individuals or institution they have rights too.

B'coz it a pandora's box, today it's hijab, tomorrow burqa, the day after room for namaz, another day halal canteen, another day we won't sit with boys, next day female teachers wanted and the list goes on. Enough of special treatment and victim mentality, adhere to rules or get the hell out should be the mantra.

Why don't you read the extract from the rules? It is available on this thread.

I did, now you should read it too. The tweet states, now a 'third college' Bhandaskar pvt college. To hell with the third college. What about the first and the second and the rest, they didn't have the said rule, right? Why not follow rules there why create ruckus there ?

Even if it was the case for the Third College's, they are a private colleges and are free to frame rules for their pupil every five years.

In fact the lot of first 6 girls have signed on an undertaking that they will wear only prescribed uniform check the below link.

Denial is hell of a drug.

OBC are better than Dalits, though still are descriminated. Let me know when dalits get to touch Brahmans, drink water from their wells and visit their temples.

You are saying everything under the sun but not willing to read the school rule book that allows the hijab. Your muslim hatred is going through the roof.

Again I never said everything is hunky-dory and there is no casteism in India. I said that the state/laws/authorities be it a mall or a temple nowhere discriminates or can discriminate as there are strict laws in place. Our president is a Dalit, our PM is a OBC. For historic wrongs corrective measures are being taken like reservations in jobs and education etc.

About school rule book read my reply on the previous post of mine

Joe - we do know how this will turn out - badly for everyone.

Has any country or society ever benefitted from a fascist movement? Heck, did the fascists ever benefit?
since under siri Lord g Indian economy is doing bad and to stick his arse to the throne of yindu land the only option left for Siri lord g is to use communal hate to gain support.

thank the lord for this idiot and his Party!

I have always found the armchair fascists to use any kind or "rules" or "laws" to support the oppression of minorities.

In this case, we are told of imaginary laws and rules that do not exist. Even the article cited makes no such mention that the hijab was prohibited as part of the college dress code. In fact, to the contrary, it has been shown more than once that the dress code expressly permits the wearing of the hijab.

It just goes on to show that the Hindu society is general is simply obsessed with denying Muslim girls an education and their right to practice their religion.

All this while, there is no condemnation of the harassment and bullying of Muslim girls by society and the establishment.

Here is what is happening:

Change is the only constant. Anti incumbency will eventually usurp any administration, including the current one.

All schools I know had Uniform. Uni=>single.
There are specific rules to be followed in specific institutes, societies, countries.
Some people want 'special treatment' everywhere. Right to pray, right to wear, right to do this, right to do that.
It is so irritating.
Anyone wanting 'special treatment' should be shown his/her place.
So sikhs in India are allowed to wear turban? So turban/scarff/burqa comes in special treatment

From the link:

Dec 31: An incident of about six students from Government PU College for Girls, Udupi, demanding they wear hijab inside classrooms comes to light. During admission, they were informed about the rules and nobody had objected, the college says.

You don't understand the meaning of the word 'Uniform'. You go selectively blind when reading an article.

Do the school/college or authorities make the rules or it's the students who decide themselves what they want to do or not do in institutions?

In Shimoga they started this nautanky in 2018 but Administration clearly told them that if they don't want to follow rules then they are free to leave but nobody took TC as they know standard of Muslim Universities and moreover non of them are recognized by UGC.

They are all just playing victim card to get more economic & politic gains.

Anybody who has gone to a school, wore a uniform or have an iota of brains knows why and what is a uniform but some people believe they have some goddam right to be treated special or everybody should make concessions for them. What about school/colleges in other states then, are muslim girls there who are not wearing hijab and are following rules there, are they bad muslims? Will they go to hell? Should they be punished as per Sharia. Women in Arab/Islamic countries are throwing away their hijabs and here we have this lot.

As usual, the filth of India who never follow any rules, suddenly decide that following made up rules is so important when it comes to Muslim girls.

Facts:
1. There is no UNIFORM for PU colleges in Karnataka.
2. Colleges that have "Uniform" rules is a violation of the Education Board edicts.
3. Dress code is permitted
4. PU College Dress code clearly shows Hijab is permitted. Refer to tweets posted earlier.

As usual, this filth of India has no problem with temples on college premises, teachers coming to school wearing tilaks and mangalsutras, or wearing bindis or teaching Ramayan or Mahabharata crap in classes.

They are all just playing victim card to get more economic & politic gains.

Muslim girls wanting to get an education is now a crime in the minds of the filth of India
