even if private schools will there be same reception for the news if a Missionary organization or an Islamic one organize such competition ?

are they allowed ?

Yes they are allowed....but the difference is that they are ''adarsh'' secular unlike the evil Hindoos so no media attention.

Forget trolling...the real worry is a fatwa...

 no fatwa.

But if the competition was about Quran recitation then indeed we would have seen sky falling down viz a viz reaction of Hindu hardliner groups

Islam does not prohibit reading other's religious books, so what is the big deal here? Normal for a Muslim.

Normal for a Muslim? Arent we idol worshippers the worst kind of Kaffirs? Shouldnt we be killed at first site?

Who told you that? When Prophet (PBUH) entered Makkah as a victor no idol worshipper was killed, yes you are Kafir, but why you would be killed at first sight? And don't bring Quran's verses to discussion table, me being Muslim don't hold authority over those so won't expect you to hold the same.

Well, for me it, never hurts to learn something new. I thought that its like this: first try to convert to Islam, if it fails, then kill them. All corrections are welcomed.

Islam encourages learning and research.

Try to convert to Islam............... yes it is every Muslim's (one of duties) to convey the message....... but before conveying the message one needs to be in a position where he practices and understands what he is preaching others.

If above fails ...................... I cannot force it upon you. I can try again and again but not force you to convert.

Kill them ...................... that is a complicated part, involves lot of discussion, lot of aspects, historical events. But I cannot kill you for simply refusing my invitation (you would have to do something extra ordinary to earn that :enjoy:)

Sadly the golded period of Islam is dead. Many great Muslim scientists from the middle ages fill the books of medicine. But sadly modern Islam makes very few scientists. But once upon a time, they commanded it!

Yep pretty much true and sad, and reason is very much what you see happening all around the globe.

What does your religion say about those who have either accepted the invitation or were born into the religion in the first instance, but eventually decide its not for them and want to follow another school of thought? Or not follow anything at all?

Do you invite him (or her) back?

What are your religions views on others who also believe in inviting you to their side by conveying their message to you? Is it a quid pro quo? Do you listen and then decide to move or politely refuse depending on your level of conviction?
