Iskcon is a religious organization so the question is , is it allowed as per Indian rules to hold a competition based on religion in a school? If YES then same can be applied on all other religious organizations of all faiths?

can Christian organizations hold such competition for Bible ? in Indian schools? and can they also distribute their religious material at the schools as Iskcon did for this competition ?

Its a private school.. but they did not held the competition.. they allowed ISCON to provide books and are proud that their kid won the competition.
Missionary schools do have bible studies.. but even they are private schools...
govt schools should not allow this... but then in India...sab chalta hai.

Good, get them young. :enjoy:

You speak as if the country you reside in does have government back religious institutions.

The country you live in has a head of state who is head of a church. :haha:

even if private schools will there be same reception for the news if a Missionary organization or an Islamic one organize such competition ?

are they allowed ?

Of course they're allowed to do whatever they want but it doesn't necessarily make news. This one became a headline only to prop up notion of 'secularism'. We used to get a copy of the new Testament in convent. And there was this 'value education' class which was predominantly biblical, we even sang prayers, nobody ever complained.
