Natives of Chittagong Hill Tracts, Bangladesh are being harassed for Converting to Islam by both their local neighbors and then Police ..

Few Days Ago, Police Arrested 21 tribal people from a madrasa near Bassabo, Capital Dhaka and 11 more previously from Gazipur claiming that they were forcefully converted to Islam... But victims revealed to the Daily Amar desh, that they fled persecution from their non muslim neighbors and notorious peace committee and took shelter in different Madrassah and Islamic center of capital Dhaka.

Karim ( Hamazong Tripura), Nur (Subamong Tripura), Sohail (Bindulal Chakma) and another 13 people left Rangamati, Chittagong on January 1st and came to a madrasah where they were arrested by police.. Out of the 21 arrested in Bassabo, 16 showed their papers related to conversion and were freed later. 5 other people are still in Police custody for not having necessary papers. Though their guardians showed paper later, they were not freed...

Police officer Babul Miya said to Daily Amardesh, they arrested them after information of forced conversion... Though Police Commissioner Merin sultana of Victim support center said to Amardesh that she had spoken to those madrassah students and they were not converted forcefully....

Story of a whole village Conversion---

গতকাল বিকালে মতিউল ইসলামের মা রংবেতির সঙ্গে এ প্রতিবেদকের কথা হয়। তিনি (অন্যের সহযোগিতা নিয়&#2503 আমার দেশ-কে জানান, তার এক ছেলে ও এক মেয়ে ঢাকায় মাদরাসায় পড়ালেখা করছে। পুলিশ কী কারণে তাদের আটক করেছে জানি না। পাড়ার একজন মুরব্বি আমাদের খবর দিলে আমরা ঢাকায় আসি। ছেলেমেয়ের আটকের খবর শোনার পর থেকেই খাওয়া ও ঘুম নেই। ঢাকায় এসেও আমাদের আদরের সন্তানদের মুখ দেখার সুযোগ পাইনি। এ বলেই কান্নায় ভেঙে পড়েন রংবেতি। কথা বলার একপর্যায়ে ক্ষুদ্র জাতিগোষ্ঠীর যুবকরা অভিভাবকদের আশ্রয় দেয়ার কথা বলে দ্রুত থানা এলাকা ত্যাগ করে। ভিকটিম সেন্টারে আটক এসব ছাত্রছাত্রীকে খ্রিস্টানদের হাতে তুলে দেয়ার জন্য একটি ক্যাথলিক চার্চ থেকে চিঠিও দেয়া হয়েছে।
ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশনের একজন ঊর্ধ্বতন কর্মকর্তা আমার দেশ-কে বলেন, ক্ষুদ্র জাতিগোষ্ঠীর মুসলমানদের হয়রানি নির্যাতনের ঘটনা এখন প্রতিনিয়তই ঘটছে। তারা ঢাকায় এলেই অদৃশ্য কারণে পুলিশ প্রতিবারই তাদের গ্রেফতার করে। এর আগেও একই এলাকার জুতিরাং ত্রিপুরা ওরফে জালাল ত্রিপুরা তার সন্তান ও ছোট ভাইকে মাদরাসায় ভর্তি করাতে ঢাকায় এসে বাস থেকে নামার সঙ্গে সঙ্গেই একজন চাকমা কমান্ডারের নেতৃত্বে র্যাবের একটি দল তাকে গ্রেফতার করে। তাকে বেদম প্রহার করে সারা শরীর রক্তাক্ত করে ফেলে। তাদের ছাড়িয়ে আনতে গেলে মিরপুরের সংশ্লিষ্ট মাদরাসার ২ শিক্ষককেও সঙ্গে সঙ্গে গ্রেফতার করা হয়। এর আগে গত জুলাই মাসে ১১ শিক্ষার্থীকে পুলিশ আটক করে। গাজীপুর মিয়াপাড়ার দারুল হুদা ইসলামীয়া মাদরাসায় অধ্যয়নরত ৮ শিক্ষার্থীকে একটি খ্রিস্টান মিশনারির ইন্ধনে গ্রেফতার করে নিয়ে যাওয়া হয়।
ঢাকায় আশ্রয় নেয়া ক্ষুদ্র জাতিগোষ্ঠীর একজন মুসলমান আমার দেশ-কে জানান, ‘আমি রাঙামাটি জেলার বিলাইছড়ি উপজেলার ফারুয়া এলাকার দুমদুমিয়া গ্রামের বাসিন্দা। আমাদের এলাকায় কোনো স্কুল কিংবা অন্য কোনো শিক্ষাপ্রতিষ্ঠান নেই। কেবল খ্রিস্টান মিশনারিদের একটি মিশনারি প্রাইমারি স্কুল রয়েছে। বাধ্য হয়েই ক্ষুদ্র জাতিগোষ্ঠীর এসব মুসলমান শিক্ষার্থীকে ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশনসহ অন্যান্য সংস্থা পরিচালিত ধর্মীয় শিক্ষাপ্রতিষ্ঠানগুলোতে ভর্তির ব্যবস্থা করা হয়। রাঙামাটি শহর থেকে আমাদের গ্রামে যেতে হয় কখনও হেঁটে, কখনও ইঞ্জিনচালিত নৌকায়। শুকনো মৌসুমে যেতে প্রায় তিনদিন এবং বর্ষাকালে দু’দিন লাগে।’ তিনি বলেন, ‘দুমদুমিয়া গ্রামের কাছাকাছি পাহাড়ের উপরে বিজিবির একটি ক্যাম্প রয়েছে। ক্যাম্পে লাকড়ি সাপ্লাইয়ের কাজ করতাম আমি। বিজিবি সদস্যদের আজানের সুমধুর আওয়াজ এবং সারিবদ্ধভাবে দাঁড়িয়ে নামাজ পড়া দেখে তার মনে পরিবর্তন আসে। প্রায়ই আজানের জন্য অপেক্ষা করতাম এবং নামাজরত ব্যক্তিদের দিকে তাকিয়ে থাকতাম। স্ত্রীকে বিষয়টি জানালে সেও একই অনুভূতি প্রকাশ করে। পরে পুরো বিষয়টি গ্রামের সবার সঙ্গে আলাপ করলে তারাও মুসলমান হওয়ার ইচ্ছা পোষণ করেন।
তিনি বলেন, ২০০৮ সাল থেকে দু’বছরেরও বেশি সময় তারা মুসলমান হওয়ার জন্য বিভিন্ন স্থানে যোগাযোগ করে ব্যর্থ হন। কাপ্তাই উপজেলার তত্কালীন ইউএনওর কাছে বিষয়টি জানালে তিনি তাদের রুম থেকে বের করে দেন। ২০১০ সালে রাঙামাটি শহরে ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন নামে একটি প্রতিষ্ঠান রয়েছে বলে জানতে পারি। কোনো ধরনের পূর্বযোগাযোগ ছাড়াই নারী-পুরুষ মিলে প্রায় ১৫-১৬ জনের একটি দল তাদের পোষা শূকর এবং ছাগল বিক্রি করে টাকা জোগাড় করে রাঙামাটির উদ্দেশে রওনা দেন। শুকনো মৌসুম থাকায় কখনও হেঁটে, কখনও বোটে চড়ে প্রায় তিনদিন পর তারা রাঙামাটি এসে পৌঁছান। শহরে ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশনের উপ-পরিচালকের সঙ্গে সাক্ষাত্ করার পর তারা ইসলাম ধর্মে দীক্ষিত হওয়ার জন্য আগ্রহ প্রকাশ করলে তিনি বলেন, প্রতিষ্ঠানটি যদিও ইসলামের প্রচার ও প্রসারের জন্য করা হয়েছে, তবু এখানে মানুষকে মুসলমান করার কোনো কার্যক্রম নেই। তবে ঢাকায় আবুজর গিফারী ট্রাস্টসহ আরও কিছু সরকার অনুমোদিত সংস্থা রয়েছে, যারা ভিন্নধর্মাবলম্বীদের ইসলামিক রীতিনীতি শেখাতে সহযোগিতা করে। তবে আগে এফিডেভিট করে মুসলমান না হলে ওই ট্রাস্টও সহযোগিতা করে না। ফলে তারা নিজ উদ্যোগে এফিডেভিট করে মুসলমান হয়ে পরে ঢাকায় গিয়ে নামাজ-রোজাসহ ইসলামের কিছু রীতিনীতি শিখে আসেন। পরে তাদের অনুসরণ করে ওই গ্রামের হেডম্যানসহ সব লোক ইসলাম ধর্ম গ্রহণ করেন। ক্রমান্বয়ে পার্শ্ববর্তী সাংগ্রছড়ি গ্রামের লোকজনও ইসলাম ধর্ম গ্রহণ করতে শুরু করেন।
ক্ষুদ্র জাতিগোষ্ঠীর এসব মুসলমানের ওপর জুলুম-নির্যাতন বন্ধের আহ্বান জানিয়ে ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন পরিচালিত একটি সেন্টারের পরিচালক আমার দেশ-কে জানান, পার্বত্য এলাকায় একসময় সবাই বৌদ্ধধর্মের অনুসারী ছিলেন। খ্রিস্টান মিশনারিরা বিভিন্ন লোভ ও ভয়ভীতি দেখিয়ে তাদের অধিকাংশকেই খ্রিস্টান ধর্ম গ্রহণে বাধ্য করেছে। মন ও প্রাণের টানে অথবা মুসলমানদের সংস্পর্শে এসে তাদের মধ্যে কেউ মুসলমান হলে তার আর রক্ষা নেই। নিজ বাড়ি থেকে উচ্ছেদের পাশাপাশি তাদের ওপর চরম নির্যাতন চালানো হয়। ঢাকায় এসে আশ্রয় নিলেও তাদের আইনশৃঙ্খলা বাহিনী দিয়ে হয়রানি করা হচ্ছে। ভিকটিম সেন্টারে আটক ছাত্রছাত্রীদের অবিলম্বে তাদের মা-বাবার হাতে তুলে দেয়ার জন্য তিনি জোর দাবি জানিয়ে বলেন, তাদের খ্রিস্টানদের হাতে তুলে দিলে এটা হবে ইসলাম ধর্মের সবচেয়ে বড় অবমাননা। এটা মুসলমানরা সহ্য করবে না।

Plz u can stick to ur stories as much as u want... I am Hindu bengali.,..i have heard and seen first hand hindu bangladeshis account of how mental torture they face if some people want u to convert.. I have seen hindu families being hounded to near death..If they have a unmarried girl...

You guys may relish at the prospects of these called conversions of 'kaffirs'.. but i dont find any joy in these murderous schemes..
