MUahrraf's biggest mistake IS that he gave NRO to people like Zardari so if democracy is failing it is because of MUSHARRAF! and if democracy is failing because the tree of democracy in pakistan was always uprooted by DICTATORS! Pakistan's history is about dictators! give democracy a chance people will FINALLY START CHOOSING RIGHT PEOPLE!

It is now we are discussion that NRO was bad when we know the consequences. At time the situation was, BB and NS were trying to form an allaince against Musharraf, and he needed support of one of them. Best way was if BB can support him in next election, so that he will still be power president and vote bank of PPP could be used to strengethen him. This way, the stability and economy of Pakistan would be been continuely fine.

But at that time who would have known that BB would like to get killed by going into open public gatherings brushing aside all security warnings and following all the fallout that led to disaster.

I, too, was and still am against NRO. But Musharraf did not vote these people in, you did and I did so blame our fellow Pakistanis and not Musharraf for this mess. These NRO beneficiaries would have returned anyhow. The SC declared the NRO null and void 3 years ago but has a single person been punished for NRO waived crimes? All political criminals are allowed a jail free, justice free ruling card by democracy in Pakistan.

NRO or not, we weren't gonna punish any politician so get real.

Though he is villain for both India and Pakistan for kargil. Because of him we paid huge price in matryers in that war. For Pakistan he was culprit behind the whole Kargil fiasco. But I used to be fan of this guy. But he missed the bus in later stages of his tenure.

Imran Khan already won the elections. Look at the support this guy has from not only Pakistanis at home but thousands of overseas Pakistani.

The reason IK is winning over people is because he spend 16 years in the trenches building support and doing the hard work.
Musharraf went for the quick power play without building any support from the people.

Musharraf had to deal with the corrupt people because he didn't have the people behind him.
IK doesn't have this problem and this means that he won't have to deal with the corrupt and NRO people.
