What's new

Musharraf wants to create relations with Israel!

.
2. Currently Iran is not our friend nor enemy, Pakistan border with India and Afghanistan are already hostile and you want that we should add Iran to list as well.

You think Iran will attack us for recognizing Israel ?

. .
Well, practically speaking question is that

what we achieve by not accepting this state ?
and what will we loose/gain by accepting this state ?

your comments?

If Pak take the good relation with Israel....Who's benefit USA,India or CIA.....

IMO - having good relation with India will be far more fruitful than having relation with IsraHell

Agreed. But just because you cannot have good relations with a country does not automatically mean that you have to be hostile with them. Countries do not formulate policies based on a zero sum prinicple anymore. Just because we established ties with Israel does not mean that we forget about our relations with the Palestine people. If we have some sort of relations with Israel we can better convey our concerns, objections etc... regarding their policies. Furthermore we can even negotiate to find any mutual interests we may have presently or if they arise in the future.

.
BTW... What is Pakistan's problem with Israel? Why Pakistan does not recognise Israel, even though both the countries were created by the British for almost exactly the same reason and same time.

.
dats nice.... but what sort of relation.... defence or trade relations

well Foreign relations dont just spontaneously happen, that is why it is better to have some sort of relationship or communication channel with Israel so we can build the relationship.

Everyone

Israel gets the recognition it needs

Pakistan can directly talk to Israel about the Palestinian issue, US foreign policy

Now is not the time to develop and formal ties with Israel perhaps covert but nothing formal and normal.

"O YOU who have attained to faith! Do not take the Jews and the Christians for your allies: they are but allies of one another and whoever of you allies himself with them becomes, verily, one of them; behold, God does not guide people who are unjust." (Quran 5:51)

The truth is in the Quran we are told that a time will emerge when there will be a Jewish - Christian alliance (you see this today do you not?), and at this time don’t take these jews and Christians as your friends or protectors. If you look at the world today America/the west is indeed a true friend of the jews – they will always support the jews over Muslims even if they are in the wrong.

Think about it, through our long friendship with America for all theses decades what has it gotten us? all they have done is taken our izzat.

The Quran goes on to say that anyone who takes them as friends and allies are no longer muslim, you are now one of them.

And just to be clear the quran is not talking about individual relationships - it is ok to have friends who are Jewish or Christian.

There is no good side of lie and and there is no bright side of kufr. Also we have clear guidance about you guys.

Quran : Al-e-Imran: 149-150

O you who have believed, if you obey those who disbelieve, they will turn you back on your heels, and you will [then] become losers. But Allah is your protector, and He is the best of helpers.

Trade with him is not obeying them. And that verse is about obeying the disbeliever's religion
