Musharraf ‘knew Bin Laden was in Abbottabad’: Former ISI chief

what you expect?-

THIS IS PAKISSSSSTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAn !!!

Well the blame game does not belong to pakistanis alone !!!
In india there are a LOT of games going on !!!
And it may be a BS as CIA were having its spies fully woven around mushy , so any action of him wont have gone unnoticed by the americans !!

.
Not only Mushy but some hi wire connections in Pakistani Army and ISI are always aware about Laden's existence on Pakistani soil. Only some innocent than pup Pakistani members here believes otherwise.

Musharraf and one or two of his cabal possibly.
But with OBL here.. he could keep the Afghan war going and hold on to his seat.

.
the fact is that the complicity of the people in power cannot be ruled out . so who is to say who knew and who did not?

.
Butt's statement raises more questions than it answers. What does Butt know, and when did he learn it? Is it gossip or can he point to physical evidence to back him up? Why speak up now, nine months after Pakistan's apparent perfidy was revealed to the world?

.
If Mushy knew he would not have wasted a sec to inform Americans, so that he could receive bounty money.

Tell USA-50mn$ reward,US says bye bye to Pak.
Dont tell-2 bn$ in aid, more money for mushy.

Now do the math.

But with mushy I'll say "mushy needs a nanny cause he's been a very naughty boy".

Agreed, how did he acquire this information being out of power for so long is one critical question. After this release of information he should be detained and interrogated for what he knows.

. .
I doubt they knew. Butt has an axe to grind. But if they did lie they probably learned to lie from Americans who are the best and well practised liars.

If what you say is true then, probably Musharraf should have provided him better security arrangement than leaving him right in the middle of a populated area.

its something that the world is already aware of- that pakistani establishment knew about OBL. there is no reason not to believe him.

someone stayin near military academy for more than half a decade and the establishment had no idea???? only fools will believe this BS.

it proved once again that the terrorists are given the safe havens in pakistan. people of pakistan should be ashamed of this fact.

The fact that he was able to live there without notice for several years proves that it was a good arrangement. No ifs, buts and maybes.

This is awfully suspicious by the way, I don't know if this has been discussed before.
From Musharraf's book:

The second miss was again in Abbotabad [sic]. We were tipped off that someone important in al-Qaeda was living in a house there, and that someone else, also very important, someone we were looking for, was supposed to come and meet him. We did not know that the second someone was Abu Faraj al-Libbi, but we had enough information to attempt an interception. Our team members stationed themselves around the house in Abbotabad. When the expected visitor turned up, the person in the house came out to meet him. But as he approached, the visitor acted suspicious and tried to run away. There was an exchange of fire, and he was killed. The visitor was not Libbi. Later, when we arrested Libbi and interrogated him, we discovered his pattern: he would always send someone ahead as a decoy while he imself stayed behind to observe. He was undoubtedly watching his decoy perform the fatal pantomime of the day. (pg 258)

Its ridiculous to think that the most wanted man in the world lived just outside PMA for 6 years without the Pakistani intelligence agencies having no information about it.

Was he camped out in a tent near the gate of the academy?
Or was he a few kms away in a residential area?

I don't see why you'd expect Pakistani security forces to sweep search the homes of 180 million people to find one washed up Al Qaeda poster child!

.
Not exactly.

Keeping OBL alive would have made such money flowing in month by month, year by year.

If he told the Americans, after OBL was dead, the money would have either stopped or drained.

If Mushy knew he would not have wasted a sec to inform Americans, so that he could receive bounty money.

I think you first underestimate your ISI's power and connection.

Second, you underestimate the close relationship between your ISI and OBL.

BTW, I do not think ISI provides safe haven for all terrorists. It simply provide it for those biggest ones while killing the smaller ones. It knows that it will continue keeping getting those terrorists on a leash as well as getting money from U.S. Basically, keeping the bargain chips with U.S. while getting the flow-in money and material support.
