Musharraf Era was best in 63-year history of Pakistan: Dr. Salman Shah

.
Sir,

Along with poor analysis---you are also showing a lack of proper 'diction'---or a lack of using proper words -----or not knowing what to say, because maybe you are angry at me. You can say that it was a strategic mistake for not informing other commander---but what does ' ghairat or beghairat ' have to do with the issue----.

Also please, if my post upsets you, please address me---don't be bashful---.

You don't know why paf was kept in the dark----because they could no do diddly sh-it in case of air war----. In 1999 PAF was only a chicken----a skeleton of what is supposed to be.

Mastan jee,

I was just quoting the facts.....that how Musharraf's ego was bigger than his paycheck. When he couldn't swallow that, he came into power and blame his failures on others. I mean, c'mon, did his Kargil fiasco bring anything for Pakistan? We lost our men and our value on the world stage....

Last, if i was quoting you, i would use the 'Reply with Quote' button....i have been on PDF for enough time....to know how to use it.

I was posting in reference to the thread and it's title.

I think its normal to say that every Military dictator’s era from Ayub to Musharraf were better than civilian rules ever comes in between them, that’s a hard fact, no doubt about it.., but that’s not the point the point is why its only like that in our country alone…??

I will not buy the arguments that only politicians are corrupt and military regimes are not, that’s an abject conspiracy in itself against Pakistan and its democracy nothing else.

The problem with Pakistan is never in its history any politicians arises on the political screen independently on his own, they are simply plantation to guard establishments (read military etc.) interests for one way or other in that point in time of history.

The moment their purpose are served the next they becomes Security risk, friendly to India more than India itself, Anti Islam, Ghaddars, corrupt & selled out to USA….all within minutes…!!

In military regimes “the machinery” who generates these conspiracy theories on daily basis in civilian rules went on "vacation" and in lieu of that governments becomes peaceful in every kind of dealing and decision making, be it presented over of Pakistani land to Iran, China for lifetime or handing over of important airports on rent to super powers for being used as launching pads in every now and than..., the repercussion will be dealt by the people of Pakistan in the name of Islam & Kashmir as these are our opium historically.

If the future of Pakistan is democracy through constitutional means i/o dictatorships than ordinary people should learn to show patience in civilian rules, let anyone of it to complete its natural lifecycle only at least “once” and on top of it refrain to becomes pawns (for some short term benefits over long term) in the hands of establishment as they always falls upon whenever called, on whatever name or cause like an old prostitute.

Hi,

Technically, a pak millitary officer is more seasoned and is a more capable professional at running and managing people---it is due to his training as an officer---plus with limited resources at hand and enemy the size of india on the other hand---this officer has to come up with ways to manage and maintain a certain status quo to keep on par with the enemy.

When he is brought into the civilian life thru a coupe--in the initial stages---he is working in a similiar manner as if he was in the millitary----but when the civilian interference takes over---he gets corrupted.

OTOH---pakistani politicians have no training in man management and assessing and maintraining strategic assets and running the country like a lean mean hungry running machine---. Almost all the politicians have no experience at corporate level----they only ran and managed their farms and people who lived on them. Some of them did fare better than the others---but the majority was and is a lost cause.

So---for that reason, pak millitary has always done well.

Hi,

Kargil brought the kashmir issue into the world forum again and since then it has not gone away. The vulnerability of the indian forces was extremely evident---it was Nawaz Sharif who gave away what was earned---.

Kargil told the world that kashmir is the bone of contention---and a nation like pakistan which had lived under severe sanctions with a dilipidated millitary resources would still fight for it---even at their weakest moment, pak millitary made a statement---so---what if the people say that kargil was a loss----which it was not---it served a certain purpose---and it succeeded in bringing that purpose to the limelight---that is what its success is.

Absolute training, professionalism, man-management or bravery didn’t gives any right to any military to governs; it’s only the constitutions that have the supreme authority in any modern country…!!

By demonizing politicians alone will not solve the purpose anymore in this age of media, neither its right in past and nor its definitely be in future, you needs constitutional amendments to legitimize your future political role otherwise it will be ever illegitimate in every institutions or courts be it in Pakistan or abroad, gone are the days when Pak courts too accepts it on one pretext or other.

Besides, If military is so professional why it can’t hold the constitution ever…?? If they didn’t believe in the constitution for one way or other than they are simply stands not brave but only mischievous conspirators throughout past 65 years and If in all these years of their popular rule they didn’t amend the constitution for their political role on a popular will of the people than they are poor Managers as well….!! In either way they didn’t deserve to be patted on the back.

The crux of the matter actually is, they on purpose didn’t allow democracy to take roots in Pakistan only for their vested interests, they been allowed specially by USA for their unconstitutional political maneuvering as long as its interests not hearts. The current WOT becomes a Catch-22 situation for both and in that backdrop the moment their arse is kicked through KL bill, the next they are talking for a re-alignment of relations with USA otherwise these are as pure as honey in all those previous years.

So, all this big talk in your post might seems genuine but still comes towards breaching of the very constitution on which this country stands not only once but actually on will, do you share with us what is the least punishment of it if its ever happened in USA?

.
^^ you have missed the whole point.

BTW.. in interview above Musharraf said that he simply applied common sense in running state affairs.

He acknowledged that he knew nothing about the economics but he worked 20hrs. for 1.5 years just to learn about economics and functioning of state.

Just answer two queries of a 16 year old:
Has Army ever interrupted when the government is running well, the government has always created a crisis of some sort which poses a threat to inflict long lasting damage to this country and then Army intervenes.Dictate any case where army came in wrong.
In the end who has yielded better result the Army or the civilians, may i remind you for one the industrialization.

I support a democratic Pakistan as much as you do but look around, we definitely were better off in a dictatorship.

Nawaz Sharif is convicted criminal for a plot to kill all passengers along with Musharraf.

Nawaz Sharif had planned to become second Marshall Law administrator by appointing him self as chief of army/khalifa.

Zardari also tried same in beginning of his regime by appointing Rehman Malik as chief of army and handing over ISI chief to bharat to meet their demand.

Lowari Tunnel: Pervez Musharraf’s timeless gift to the people of Chitral

There were times when the people of Chitral were literally detached from normal life of human beings and were left to suffer the winter vows all on their own. They trekked the snowy Lowari Mountain pass to get to their native villages while life went on
as daily routine for the rest of the Pakistanis.
Lowari Tunnel, a program envisioned in 1956 by the Government of Pakistan, finally saw the light of the day when the former president of Pakistan General (rtd) Pervez Musharraf took personal interest in the completion of the project. The 8.75 km long tunnel
having an internal diameter of 7.1m was completed in January 2009 using the state-of-the-art technology. The total cost of the project was estimated to be $133-million.
The advantages of the tunnel and the change it has brought in the lives of the winter-stiffened Chitralis can be sought by one of the commentators who lauded Musharraf’s work in his own unique way.
Dr. Khalil, a born Chitrali who now resides in Hamilton, Canada says,
“I don’t know Musharaf is good or bad leader, but I remember for sure the time just few years back when, Chitrlies used to get stuck in Peshawar for weeks waiting for Fokker flight. I can remember when we used to fight with each other and with PIA staff
every day in and out. I can remember Chitralies selling their waistcoats and Phakools in Peshawar to buy bus tickets to come and return from PIA office. Everyone can remember the days when Masajid where there was a Chitrali imam in Peshawar used to be packed
of Chitralies, coming just to spent night there. Imam e Masajid used to open the back door of masjid for Chitrlies after Isha prayer, and asking them to quit masjid before Fajr Azan. Arbab was known to each and every Chitrali. I can remember the days when
we used to protest every day in Peshawar and have been beaten up by Peshawar police on reads time and again. How can one forget the time when we used to drag our mothers sisters over snow while passing Lowari. How can I forget the bedbugs of hotels in Dir,
how can one forget travel through Kunar and overnight stays in place like Chaqansarai with our sick mothers and sisters. None can forget when we were looted every day in the hands of 10-12 years old tribal kids on Kurar road., How can we forget our helplessness
in PIA booking clerk’s desks in Chitral. No one can forget the bodies of our brothers still buried under tons of snow in lawari. Is that easy to forget the days when Gunshalies used to carry us on their backs through lawari ?. I can also remember the dead
bodies of Chitralies decomposing on beds waiting for flight in Peshawar , and finally buried in Wazir Bagh. I don’t care what Musharaf did with anyone else, but if I as Chitrali neglected his services for Chitral, I will never be forgiven in any court in this
world and in the court of life hereafter. Yes, if Musharaf was not allowed to fight election I will defiantly look for new faces in Pakistani politics.”
Former president has now announced that he will be contesting for the National Assembly seat from Chitral following his strong support from the people of the region. He said he was grateful to Shahzada Muhiuddin and his son Shahzada Pervez for inviting him
to do so and that he has accepted the invitation. He was talking about his ambitious plan at APML meeting at Mazar-e-Quaid in Karachi and also announced his return at the end of the current month of January.

PNSC was almost bankrupt and was left with only 3 ships when Pervez Musharraf came into power. During the Musharraf era, 7 new ships were ordered from Japan which are all now serving in PNSC which is a profit making institution now.

In addition a dredger was bought to deepen the existing port facilities so that the largest ocean liners could also dock.

Gwadar.
