What's new

Musharraf Era was best in 63-year history of Pakistan: Dr. Salman Shah

I like this guy, though he engineered the Kargil, he did try to resolve Kashmir issue with Mr. Singh, which would have brought a new light in the plight of Pakistan. Unfortunately some of his domestic decisions were not good.

Hi,

Even his domestic decisions were beyong good---the problems is with those fools, who could not understand the consequences---. I am talking about the MERCURIAL MENTALITY pakistani populace who can't see their hands in front of them in the day time----.

The way pakistani public tore him apart---they are paying for their sins---. Even though Musharraf made some mistake---they were of no major concern if the nation would have wanted to move ahead as one unit.

Thank you sir. Pakistanis are fickle creatures that have short-term memories and villainize heroes of the nation at the drop of the hat. I am utterly disgusted.

For all his achievements, real as well as imagined, Musharraf was a military dictator, pure and simple.

That fact should not be forgotten.

All these stories are just to facilitate his return to politics.

Right now he is meeting all sorts of people in the US to ensure his backing by the right quarters when the time comes.

Sir,

Musharraf was no dictator----Zardari is----Dick Chenney was a dictator---.

Hi,

A member here talking about steel mill having a general in-charge and losing, ----all this reaction started from the steel mill----that steel mill was in shi-ts---the general made it productive---then they found a foreign investor to take over----that is where the people's part---and justice Chaudhry came in and the movements started----.

Now the same steel mill is in shambles worth pennies-----. PIA was productive----had money----ppp came and looted and plundered it----railway was working okay---then Benazir died and pakistanis burnt their trains and diesel locomotives and pp workers came in and stole what was left-----.

Now a truck transporter is incharge of the railways----private lobby wanted to get into railways so they conspired to destroy railway and now we will have private investors run their trains----.

Graphican-----when you live in australia----and the sh-it from the top of the world falls down or rolls down---does it end up in ausralia----.

Sir,

Musharraf was only one more in a long line of Pakistani dictators who left the country in a much worse situation than when he took over. The other two you mention are not the topic of this thread, so I will refrain from commenting on them.

I am not an active member but I find it interesting. Pakistan's GDP growth is coherent to the money she gets from other countries or organizations in the form of aid/loans.

Analyze both images and you will understand that Pakistani economy indeed grew during dictatorship era but was it 'SUSTAINABLE'? NO

Why did Pakistan get more money during dictators and why did Pakistan fight all the covert or overt wars during dictators?

This is my last post over here but try to understand: Why did we get more money from the U.S during dictatorship eras? America stands for justice and democracy, right? Okay, America also stands for humanitarian issues and that is why we got 'more' money. Still, it does NOT explain the MILITARY AID we got! Pakistani dictators and their misadventures have cost a lot.

It is a simple answer: US resources are directed best towards those who can serve US national interests. Why is that so hard to understand?

What was in my post that surprised you so much, my dear Khan Sahib?

Can someone make sure that VCheng is indeed VCheng......i mean did someone hack his ID?

Whoa boy......

Saad,

Pakistani politicians deceive the nation and deceive the populace----. All this problem lies with the politicians----if you see progress during millitary regimeand negativity during civilian----then it the civilian part that needs to be blamed---.

For the one simple fact----pakistanis do not want to and do not know how to run A RELAY RACE----they hate to take the baton, and move forward----they would rather start from scratch every single time so that their predecessor doesnot get the credit for any good they have done in their time.

This is a standard pakistani habbit----one puts up the foundation and builds up on it---the next one comes in and tears up the foundation and starts his own game----a nation of fools running and round in circles small and large---living an illusion that only they can see.
