Pervez Musharraf has confirmed agreement with Sharif family for their asylum in Saudi Arabia.

Talking in Dunya News programme ‘News Watch’, the former president said that Nawaz Sharif and other members of his family did sign an agreement to go in exile in Saudi Arabia. However, Pervez Musharraf said it is a non-issue today.

Asked if Rehman Malik’s claims before media were right then, Musharraf said he didn’t know of exactly what Malik had said.

Musharraf earlier said that there was no secret agreement between him and Nawaz, but as for the exile deal, that was there.

He could put corruption charges on NS and his family, get looted money back ... that would be his greatest service for Pakistan when he was president .. instead of making agreement that ... you go on vacation for 110 years I will have fun .. then I will on vacation and you will have fun ..

First thing in politics, never underestimate your opponent.

No i don't mushy's mistakes are enough to never give him another chance 9 Years are more then enough to bring economy back on track but when you think of bringing economy on track don't invite Wars at your door which mushy did.

You know the problem with people like you is you don't research bring fourth his accomplishments and please I highly would ask for the team that worked with musharraf ok it was not one man show whatever so called achievement you people have stamped on mushy's butt! You and your friends post wikipedia as your source of mushy's success bring fourth the real story. musharaf lied to his Nation, musharaf is not sincere, mushrraf is not honest, mushrraf is runaway left his Nation his people his soldiers those who sacrificed for Pakistan on the borders and 6000 soldiers are crippled while mushy conveniently ran away coward.

Musharraf’s regime broke all records in borrowing and pushed the country into a debt trap, well now that has been equally over taken by PPPon record.

STATE BANK

State Bank reports showed the government had borrowed a staggering amount of over $15 billion in the four years to 2006, as the country’s total debt and liabilities reached $40 billion by 2007.

Such debt apart from additional borrowing was also composed of rescheduled debt as the Musharraf government continued borrowing to fund basic government duties and the inability to generate sufficient wealth from the domestic economy.

Such amounts of debt never existed in the history of Pakistan. By the end of 2004, the total external debt was $33 billion. If the government had stopped borrowing as it claimed, the country’s total debt would have declined to $23 billion, based upon Pakistan’s regular yearly payments by the end of June 2007.

With the absence of basic industry in Pakistan, imports became critical and continued to rise.

Due to this Pakistan faced an all time high trade deficit. Pakistan borrowed over $3 billion during 2006-2007.

The figures reveal that the huge borrowing was made to pay debt and continuous current account deficits. This is because the Pakistani government had been unable to provide for the basic needs of the country, and was forced to import more and more from abroad, to the point where exports were exceeded and this resulted in a trade deficit.

Average annual payment of debt servicing reached $3.3 billion in 2007.

The current account deficit for the fiscal year ending on June 30, 2007 had increased by 41% reaching $7 billion.

Instead of reducing dependency on imports by building a strong domestic industrial base and refining abundant local raw materials the Musharraf government relied on unreliable sources like foreign direct investment (FDI) and privatization to meet the gap.

Clearly shows the Musharraf regime’s lack of vision failed to develop the foundations of a productive economy. During Musharraf’s tenure the Pakistan economy became reliant upon the service sector, real estate, and the stock market.

The real productive sectors of the economy, both industry and agriculture, were ignored.

The infrastructure in Pakistan was not upgraded and as a result the country today faces a serious energy crisis.

The social sectors continued to be neglected with expenditure for education and health sectors much lower than those of previous governments.

This is all on record, now you and like minded can live in a lala delusional land portraying mushy man god which he isn't you blasphemers quit saying he has done this and that khoda pahar nikla chooha.

Clearly shows your lack of understanding on how the economy works. Borrowing is NOT a bad thing. All of the worlds economies borrow money.

The pivotal part of borrowing is debt to GDP ratio! do you know where it stands today as compared to Musharraf era? have you forgotten our economy grew 6-8% annual during his tenure from a mere 67 bil to 180 bil USD? Gen. Musharraf's government said NO to IMF even when they were willing to offer more loans.

The incumbent government is borrowing excessive money yet without substantial amount of growth in GDP or revenue.
