There were almost 6 million people at Mr. Mumtaz's Funeral but nobody was ready to pray for Mr. Salman Taseer.

I am not sure what you guys will get by comparing the number of attendees in the funeral. If the number of people was the sole criteria then more than 1 million people were gathered in Bal Thackery's funeral as well...

How many people gathered in the funerals of some of the greatest companions of Prophet Muhammad S.A.W? Very few I reckon...

The point is, you are held accountable for your deeds and not by the number of people who gathers for your funeral

That is because he was a great man who lived his life for his people and was the de facto King of Mumbai while he lived.

Barelvi Extremists/Terrorists threatened to kill anyone who attended the funeral of Salman Taseer

A prominent group of (500) Islamic scholars said that the funeral prayers should not be offered and warned that anyone who expressed grief for Taseer could suffer the same fate.

1) Local media was banned to report the funeral prayers.
2) BBC itself was not there.

Sir how many funerals of Sahabas do you even know in history besides some renowned companions of Sahabas?

It is said there were hundreds of thousands of Sahabas during lifetime of Prophet Muhammad S.A.W... they spread across everywhere in the world... Hazrat Saad bin Abi Waqas is claimed to have passed away in China. There is his tomb in China... so how many people gathered in his funeral?

Forget it as this is off tppic and will land us nowhere. The point is, if terrorist like Osama bin Ladin or Mullah Umar were allowed open funeral, you would have seen millions of people gathering to attend his funeral. Even the funeral of Zia ul Haq was offered by over 1 million people... its not a criteria for being good or bad Muslim otherwise there are many names in the history who were non Muslim and their funeral was attended by 1-10 million people

The fundamental problem with the society is the lawlessness. The elite of this country has always acted beyond and above any law of the land, they loot, rob, drink, rape, kill and embezzle and top of that they make fun of the poor and their religion...Why was Salman Taseer so arrogantly advocating the release of a convicted blasphemer and why was he not following the rules himself. Instead he acted above and beyond the law of the land: to uphold which he took the oath of. So how can we expect a constable or a guard to follow the rules?

Imam Ahmad acknowledged the responsibility that rested on his shoulders due to his status as a true scholar of the believers. Thus, he was uncompromising and remained patient, despite his captors warning him that he could die like this. Imam Ahmad simply replied, “al-farqu baynanaa wa baynakum al-jana’iz” (the difference between us will be manifested in our funeral prayers)” (i.e. that they should beware of what happens at their deaths and to observe his). They knew he would be resilient to uphold the truth and he was finally released after spending over two years in imprisonment. He eventually passed away at the age 77. One of his sons mentions that his father still had scars from the lashes when he passed away. Despite this, over 800,000 people attended his janazah in Baghdad to pay tribute to the noble scholar.
