Karachi is where all ethnicities live unlike the rest of Pakistan

sorry not true! balochistan has hazare, pathans, balochis and punjabis!

similarly the "HAZARA province movement" is from within the NWFP! clearly the hazara division is a major part of NWFP.

then in punjab you have seraykis and bhawalpuris and chachachis and pashtuns in attock. and go to lahore and see almost all tandoor walas are pathans! so what is your point???

. .
right but who brought the gun culture in karchi was it MQM, and PMLN and PMLQ dont operate armed militants? who fired on the house of pervez ilahi? and doesnt PTI and ISF operate armed militants? if MQM is solo on this then i can consider your arguement you are showing as if MQM is lone on this matter

PTI even killed one student in peshawar

gun culture in pakistan is not introduced by MQM, pathans when they came to karachi also brought guns with them and still the guns are coming from peshawar, all the guns which exist in krachi dont belong to MQM

Pakhtuns dont carry guns with them when they go outside their home towns to earn. You wont see pakhtun labourer, driver or tandoorwala with gun in northern areas, kashmir, punjab, gulf countries and in baloch-dominated areas. If in karachi they are keeping guns then it means they were forced to do so for security reasons, some people were targeting them and they dont liked to be killed like sheeps and you must have heard about our "badal".

And MQM advertising itself as middle class party is not impressive. It is a mohajir party and there are no feudals among urban folk like them so they would naturally speak against feudals. Moreover they criticize wadairas because of their anti-sindhi sentiments.
Check out JUI-F members, they are not even from middle class but from poor background. Another great example is jumat e islami. With far more better organization, merit system and members with middle class background who make progress from student life as IJT members.

The Co-ordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) has condemned the harassment of MQM candidates in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by police and local administration. It has demanded the Election Commission of Pakistan to take notice of harassing the MQM candidates by local authorities and ensure that elections are free, fair and transparent by stopping strong-arm tactics.

The Co-ordination Committee said that the MQM candidates in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were being threatened and intimidated at the behest of influential people. The local police raided the house of Gulfaraz Khan Khattak in a village in Tehsil Kohat. Mr Khattak is a member of the Co-ordination Committee of the MQM who is also a candidate from NA – 14.
The Co-ordination Committee demanded President Asif Zardari, caretaker Prime Minister Mir Hazar Khan Khoso and the Election Commission of Pakistan to take notice of the unwarranted raid on the house of Mr Khattak. It urged them to stop the violation of the electoral code of conduct by stopping all forms of harassment, threats and intimidations against the MQM candidates in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Tariq Jawed Terms Poll Process 'A Calculated Move'

Posted on: 4/9/2013 1 Views:1338
Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s former senior vice chairman and an ex-acting Sindh chief minister, Tariq Jawed, has described Election Commission of Pakistan’s (ECP) process of accepting and rejecting nomination papers of candidates as `the strong establishment’s scripted and calculated move’.
Commenting on the ECP’s process of accepting or rejecting nomination papers, he said that the double-standards being adopted for the work not only amounted to a mockery but was also against the national and international norms and Islamic values, besides being immoral and against the country’s survival and solidarity.
Mr Tariq Jawed, who has also served as the MQM’s Coordination Committee’s deputy convener and is currently its member, said that on the one hand, nomination papers of those who had defaulted on bank loans amounting to billions of rupees, got their bank loans written off, built their palaces abroad and inflicted heavy losses to the national exchequer were being accepted without any objections while, on the other, nomination papers of candidates belonging to poor and middle-class people were being rejected on flimsy grounds.
Terming the on-going process of accepting and rejecting nomination papers `unjust’ and `unfair’, he said that such an act was an indication of the fact that present establishment, caretaker government and the ECP, under a calculated move and as per its script, were not only allowing particular families, wealthy and corrupt people who had looted national exchequer to participate in the elections but were also openly protecting them whereas truthful and honest people were being kept away from assemblies so as to set up a fascist regime in the country.
He also deplored that nomination papers of those failed to recite `Ayatul Kursi and Dua-e-Qunoot’ were rejected while on the contrary who had built palaces on two and three acres with the ill-gotten money were accepted.
He warned the people at the helm of affairs to desist from adopting double standards, or else they will have to face the wrath of Allah.

They are quiet conservative and careful in claiming targets which are unrealistic there are no such statements on record ever by MQM in the past where they have made any unrealistic claims , so i will give some weight to their statement. Its not a imposible target either

Not sure that somebody made this claim or not but the possibility cannot be ruled out. The way people are leaving PPP and other parties and independents making some space who knows MQM becomes a leading partner of some collation.
