MQM (news and developments)

Dear,
What you call development?
What you call popularity?
Make a survey, how many fitra parches were collected durring ramadan?
I am a well wisher of MQM , but when peoples like Hammad sidiqi strats collecting money & shares of appartments from local builders , thn some thing is wrong friend!
Now a days the biggest problem is , peoples even can't lodge any report to your london chapters, even someone does it, he always gets a shutup call why, any poor ns voice can't reach to altaf huSsain anymore?
Why babar ghuri can spend 7 carors on his daughters wedding?
Why babar can become billionere & can hve hidden shares in top constructions in karachi?
MQM was the frist ever party in the history of pakistan, which can make anyone accountable within its party, but now it can't why friend why?

yes there must be accountability on every one regardless of the position

So that means you are accepting that altaf hussain is hijacked by the croupt party officials, & there will no accountyblity of these croupt MNAs & MPAs , it makes MQM similar to PPP & PMLn ?

Don't you think?
Even your sector & unit level peoples were shoughted & disgraced regularly!
Why can't MQM , find down to earth peoples once it had?

altaf has cases but in how much cases he has been convicted? karachi was much safe in 2002-2008 why do you fail to give answer for such a peace wasnt MQM in power and wasnt altaf alive then?, altaf started struggle rightfully because all politicians were discriminating against karachi and its people, karachi's development didnt start till MQM came and prove its sincerety unlike others who were just eating their share of the city through corruption, i have rightfully said that being a lahore you have full rights to criticise but when you know the ground reality

92 operation was done because MQM was accused of something which proved false after that is trying to make karachi into new country

Looks like you never been to karachi. Peace in karachi from 2002-2008? Looks like you don't know about killing of major Religious leaders in 2004 & 2005 and then 12 May 2007 (the blackest day of Karachi history) and 2006-2007-2008 all filled with this crap. You really need to come out of virtual world and see what is going on.

& I Already gave you answer before why Karachi was peaceful while MQM controlling (whole karachi). When one party has full power, and they are killing people around without any resistance, and police and everyone is with them. This you call peace? Also, MQM was in power why would they do anything in the karachi? The issue came when Karachi people also voted for other people, other political parties also came into power. MQM found it loosen grip on karachi. So they started to burn Pathan's Taxis, Busses, Tea Dhaba etc.. Also start mess with many baluchies (I am still not sure why). And these two groups never back down from fight. Which cause distrubenss in karachi.

I already shown what Sincerity MQM shown when they launched. And you said oh that;s the old story. NEW story is, today each day 20+ people is murder from target killing. Today's Truth is because of MQM, all three parties are came into fight.

So before 92 Operation, there was no concept of Bori Band Lash? No Bhagta khorri by MQM? No force gathering of Urdu Speaking community? No Murdering those who were not in sync with MQM concept? 92 Operation was happen when Things become out of hand completely, and Jinnah Pura was in the news for many days. And today both parties are sitting into same benches which is why they are saying it was a mistake, but tomorrow when both will move in different direction again, same bullshit will be start.

but only PMLN wins from punjab

Lol, so that's why you think Punjabis "ONLY" votes for PML-N... You got some MQM Logic .. btw if you know politicus, then before 2002 even Urdu Speaking, Sindhis and other ethical group voted for PML-N so what your logic says here? Bring some better logic :P btw this will only gain PML-N and you are causing it don't know why, since I was defending Punjabis rather then PML-N.

MQM has completed the projects which mr naimatullah started name me one thing naimatullah built in his tanure, he just completed his tanure with nothing but planning
But Planning? Are you really from karachi or what? Who started Tameer-e-Karachi Project? Who passed more then 17 flyover and7 underpasses, 32 small road repairing projects? Who build 11 Parks all around the karachi? And most important who pass budget for all these "PLANNING" which looks too small to you, but because of same budget Mustafa Kamal done work and you praise him. I still remember when i was planning to move karachi permanently in 2005, my uncle said "come to Karachi Naimatullah is doing alot of work" and when I came just after 3 weeks namatullah put resignation and the "Defense view road" which was build by naimtullah was bulldoze by Mustafa Kamal (similarly many small roads), just to show Naimatullah haven't done any work.

wow and werent PMLN and PPP contesting for elections??

After mir afzal khan PML-N don't have much options or good leaders in KPK, also PPP leaders like tooty khan etc has lost their leadership skills.. And also Jaimit normally bycott election. Which gives almost free hand to ANP. That's why where ever "Independent people" contest election in KPK, they win with much easy. This times things will turn if jamiat don't bycott the election.

Sorry but thts kinda harsh statment, no you can't ignore the karachi,s peoples mandate jst like this, anyway MQM has won 9 different national & provancial elections , & don't think they did any manupilation on that, no they can't do it with all the gun power, its geniune !
Same as PPP with all its coruption & bad goveRnance, allways can win ? Why does they also do same as MQM does ?
No its the dam system which MQM understood & start using like others!
I think they had their goods & their bads, but they need to get back to their basics as soon as possible !
All the bori band lash factor was started by their oppenents haqiqi but yes MQM did followed it back, but why?
If their wasn't a militry carckdown on MQM , I don't think that they had reach to that level of voilence?
& the worst thing was its was done on fake intell, & a political greed to capture the mandate of karachi?
We should start to accept
The truth?

Welcome back. Were you planning an invasion on Punjabis in Karachi just before coming here? Seems like your god Altaf Hussain just sent you that message. Beta abi dehko teray saat kaya hota hain. Once you touch us with ethnic bull ****, another 92 operation will be on its way.

looks like you have a comprehension problem, 2002-2008 tk there was no political violance, if there was bomb blast and religious killings then it doesnt involve MQM in any way, karachi saw no political target type killings before and MQM had won more seats than it had before in 90s, thats why MQM got even more votes in 2008 elections..

MQM is the party which is the most discriminated party in pakistan, and the reason is it spoke for the city of karachi for which it got slaughtered in the 90s, MQM didnt support jagirdars which every other pakistani party does even PTI for which it got discriminated

the weaponisation of karachi began much before MQM came into existance, the afghanis had come with lots of weapons, jamaat was a know notorious group in karachi university and all over karachi, with the most number of weapons at that time and all the weapons for jamaat coming from peshawar, the jamaat strong hold

if MQM came and started the politics of violance then it was non other than your favourite ganja who brought military operation to karachi on false ground basis, which killed MQM members and lots of other innocents in karachi also died who had nothing to do with MQM, and now you agree with balochis who are talking about their rights and negotiating with them because they have the province while people of karachi dont have

nobody even acknowledges that the military operation from 1992 was falsely conducted and lots of innocents were killed in the operation, so who is the real terrorist here

the M of mutehda was changed long time ago and the party who had rightfully started on ethnic bases turned towards unity, while other parties like PPP, PMLN and ANP have always tried to gather votes on ethnic bases, mutehda gets votes from all the ethnicities alike.. and on its mandate which is to empower the middle class nation of pakistan

92 ke operation ne MQM ka kia bigad liya, jis ne kerwaya tha woh to saala asylum main betha hai aj, tu kia ukhad le ga 92 jaisa operation kerke, bas phir rone lage ga ke MQM is terrorist organisation, jab teri chitrol ke jai ge

KARACHI: The core committee meeting between members of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Mutahidda Qaumi Movement was held on Friday night at the Chief Minister House, Karachi to discuss proposed Local Government Act, 2012, said a handout issued here.

PPP side was represented by Senior Minister Pir Mazhar ul Haq, Agha Siraj Durrani, Syed Murad Ali Shah, Sharjeel Inam Memon, Rafiq Engineer and Rashid Hussain Rabbani while Syed Sardar Ahmed, Raza Haroon and Amir Moin Pirzada represented the MQM.

The meeting discussed the draft of LG Act, 2012 and financial matters of the provincial government. The members of both parties agreed on various proposals on the LG Act, said a statement.

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan People’s Party and Muttahida Qaumi Movement have failed to reach accord on the shape of the new local government system in Sindh, and the MQM is reported to have decided to discontinue negotiations with the government on the issue.

The MQM, according to a party insider, has refused to hold further talks on the issue after a series of meetings held recently with the PPP in Islamabad and Karachi did not achieve any breakthrough.

“In a series of meetings held between the PPP and MQM over the LG system for Sindh, the two sides have failed to reach accord
to hold the LG polls in the province before general elections which are scheduled to be held in March 2013,” said the source privy to the development.

President’s Spokesman Senator Farhatullah Babar did not confirm the failure of talks between the two parties but said local bodies elections were not going to be held immediately.

“It is a wrong impression that President Asif Ali Zardari has asked the provincial government of Sindh to hold LG elections immediately,” he said.

An MQM delegation will raise the issue of the LG system during its meeting with President Zardari in Bilawal House Karachi on Monday and apprise him of its reservations.

“We think that both parties have wasted time because PPP has turned down all demands of the MQM for holding the LG polls in Sindh,” said Wasay Jalil, a leader of the Muttahida.

Mr Jalil is a member of the MQM’s committee on local government which has remained engaged with the PPP for a long time.

He said the Muttahida had decided not to sit with the PPP on the issue of LG system because the PPP backed out of its promises regarding functions of devolved ministries after all matters had been settled by the two parties.

“The PPP earlier agreed to incorporate the functions of some 15 devolved ministries in the LG system but later it backed out,” he said.

Mr Jalil said MQM leader Farooq Sattar called President Zardari last week and informed him that the MQM would hold no more talks on the issue because the PPP was reluctant to meet the MQM’s demands even though everything had been decided. He said the issue of development projects of Karachi would also came under discussion at the Monday meeting.

Although the government is about to complete it five-year tenure it has failed to introduce a local government system in the country in place of the one enforced by Gen Musharraf.

The country’s main opposition party – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz – which rules Punjab, has done no better and has failed to introduce a new LG system.

Balochistan is the only province which has implemented a new LG system but the system is said to be flawed and needs
rectification.

The Awami National Party (ANP), which is PPP’s main coalition partner in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, is said to be in a position to hold LG polls in the province before the general elections.

“We have prepared a draft of the new system and can hold local bodies elections before general polls,” said an ANP leader who did not want to be named.

The Balochistan government has prepared an LG law but it is said to have many flaws. And a draft of the LG Act prepared by the Punjab government is yet to be taken up by the provincial assembly.

After the lapse of the Local Government Ordinance 2001 and empowerment of provinces to deal with the local government system, the provinces were to enact their own LG acts but they have so far failed to do so, causing administrative and other problems and poor delivery of services by departments.

spartacus got banned  he always posts alot of gud pics of balochistan and karachi

MQM, PPP strike a deal on LG system

KARACHI:
After marathon talks on Monday, the Pakistan Peoples Party and its key ally Muttahida Qaumi Movement struck a deal after narrowing down their differences on the contentious issue of the local government system for Sindh.
Negotiations between senior leaders of the two parties had continued late in the night amidst reports that a new ordinance is likely to be issued today (Tuesday) in light of recommendations made at meetings of PPP’s core committee.
According to sources, the ordinance would be issued as an ad-hoc arrangement till both parties evolve a consensus on a new local government bill. Reports say the MQM is insisting on the restoration of the Sindh Local Government Ordinance (SLGO) 2001 with minor adjustments in place of the existing commissionerate system.
Leaders from both parties refused to speak to The Express Tribune when contacted. But sources claimed that after the issue of the ordinance, the government would pass a law within two months to hold local bodies (LB) election in the province.
At a meeting of PPP and MQM leaders at Bilawal House on Monday, President Asif Ali Zardari hoped that the two sides would soon finalise their deliberations for conducting LB elections.
According to sources, the president’s decision to hold LB elections was made in the wake of MQM’s growing frustration with the deadlock on the issue.
“The MQM had once again decided to quit the coalition government and resume its negotiation with PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif, whom they are scheduled to meet at Punjab House today (Tuesday). This prompted the president to reach out to its key coalition partner,” a senior PPP leader said.
The MQM is also demanding control of district police – however, the PPP is unwilling to give up these departments to the city government. “These departments are under the provincial government, but we will follow whatever decision is made by our leadership,” said Sindh Local Government Minister Agha Siraj Durrani.
At a recent meeting with MQM chief Altaf Hussain in London, President Asif Ali Zardari had reportedly said that his government was committed to holding the LB election if the MQM evolved a consensus among main political parties on the issue.
“The idea behind this was to postpone general election for one year, so that the president could get himself re-elected for other term from the incumbent parliament,” sources said adding that soon after the London meeting the MQM started consulting different political parties in order to convene a roundtable meeting.
This effort was meant to take all parties into confidence over a delay in general elections, but most parties refused to buy the idea.
ANP opposition
On the other hand, a delegation of the Awami National Party (ANP) expressed its reservations over the SLGO 2001 during a meeting with President Zardari. “We are in favour of the local government system of 1979,” ANP Senator Shahi Syed said, adding that since the coalition partners had failed to evolve a consensus on the issue for nearly five years, it was not possible to hold LB elections before parliamentary polls. “Let the MQM and PPP decide, we will give our reaction after that,” he said.
