haha your story is funny.

I was a little kid, and my best friend was a very cunning little creature. One day at his house he showed me over 100 rupees he had just gotten from somewhere. I asked him where he got it, and he said his friend from India gave it to him for showing him nice "skid" tricks (the sliding on slippery surfaces trick). I doubted his story, but I didn't care and accompanied him to the base market (we were in mianwali). We were selecting some juicy looking candies when suddenly we saw his mom parking and getting out of her car. He panicked, handed me the money and told me to say my mom gave it to us. His mom came and asked us where we got the money, I lied like I was supposed to, but she said she knows my mom and she would never give us that much money. She guessed that her son stole it, so we were dragged off to her house. My mom and dad were gonna come over there for a party.

My friend had stolen a hand held video game from the kid next door as well and hidden it under the cushion of his sofa. That kids mom came to the party, sat on that sofa and it must have turned on the game because suddenly there were sounds that the ladies couldn't tell the source of.

Eventually, we were confronted by our parents and they yelled and lectured at us for stealing things that weren't ours. It wasn't even my fault and I had to endure the humiliation of standing in the middle of the drawing room like a prioner on trial.

That was by far the most embarrassing moment of my life, and it taught me a good lesson.

My most embarassing moment was when i was in standard 6. At 10 years of age, I was the youngest and smallest boy in my class. Some of my classmates were even 13 years old, and were considerably larger than me.

The embarrassing moment was when we went on our yearly school excursion to a camp called 'Bush Pigs'. There we did many camp activities, including an obstacle course. Near the end of the course there was a see-saw which we had to jump over. I was right behind a rather large Irish girl (who was atleast 3 times my weight). Just as i got on one end of the see-saw, she jumped onto the other end, and i was sent flying backwards through the air, rather like in a comedy movie. I flew right over the fence and landed in the goat pen. as if that wasnt embarassing enough, a stupid goat came and started sniffing around my groin! i jumped up, leaped over the fence, and completed the obstacle course. It took an entire minute before the class stopped laughing.

Did you guys ever date a girl and forget the name? It happened to me...:undecided:

I was dating this amazingly goodlooking and intelligent girl I met thru internet a few years ago, after few hours of good conversation we decided to go for dinner together and I made reservations for the next day in Casa di David, a fency Italian restaurant in Amsterdam. She was on a business trip in here.

We met and I couldn't remember her name!! :hitwall: The whole evening I tried carefully to avoid calling her name, called her beautiful, darling, sweetheart, suger...every single word I could come up with but her name hoping she wouldmn't notice...

At the end of the evening when we said goodbye, she thanked me for the dinner and the evening and started her car to drive away...suddenly the window opened and with a big and tender smile on her face she said: My name is Marouska Sobiesky, write it down".

That was the most embarissing moment in my life...just in front of one of the most interesting and intelligent women I've met in my entire life.
I wish I was dead at that moment.

Dude, i am sure she didn't mean it in an offensive way. lol but i see what you mean. :)

Well embarrassing things usually happen to me in Pakistan, i have been very careful in Canada and luckily haven't been embarrassed, too much.

I can't remember anything too embarrassing but there was this one time when i went over to my Nani Amma's house ( grandmother) and they had an arcade near by. The owners were neighbors, but were treated like family. I usually spend all my money on the games in like 10 minutes and then im usually out. That day was no different, so i've spent all my money and im just standing there. There was this guy, sort of a friend, and he was from the family who owned the arcade. So he says lets play a game of billiards and i'm like no thanks yaar, im out of money. He said its cool we know who you are, play already. So i agreed and once we finished, i lost, and the looser is the one who pays.

To my bad fortune his grandfather had come and was looking over the place. He was old and didn't know who i was, so he asks me for money. I got all confused and tensed and he kept asking. My friend told him that he is not going to pay but he wouldn't listen and soon all the people gathered and i was in the middle. The old man wouldn't listen and started speaking loudly and kept asking for money. It was even more embarrassing because it is usually poor kids or bad kids who do this sort of a thing and all the people there knew i was from sort of a rich family. There was the kid and he gave me the money and it felt so freaking embarrassing i can't describe it. But it was only when i was 8 or 9 so its not too bad.

We had a party in the school long ago probably like in the 7th grade when i was in Pakistan. Every student was suppose to bring some sort of food (cookies, nimco, samosa, biscuits, cake, etc...) I thought it was just a usual day, and had totally forgotten that there was a party in school (even though i knew there would be a party sometime this week, but had forgotten the exact date). I went to the school like i would usually, and as i entered the class room i found out that there was the party.... well, you know how bad i probably had felt during that moment. I cried (Yes! I was nazuk, smart, mama type of kid).. but it ended up in a good day, because i cried, the teacher gave me the most food (good stuff!).. so it was all good, but i still felt bad, and it was really embarrassing.

ROFL,
Solid what did you did to ur friend who got you into this mess, LOL.

I avoided seeing him and he did the same to me for a good while. But we made up, we were really good friends and couldn't stay mad forever.

I remember when I was new to the United States, the culture shock was hitting me firmly. Even though I had been watchin American movies since forever, listening to American bands and knew exactly what to expect after coming here, it was still a shock.

During my first few days in high school, I was asked a lot about Pakistan. I had to answer questions like "what's it like over there?". Once out of nowhere this extermely American (read ditzy/stupid) girl asked me "Excuse me, I'm sorry, are you married?" I was shocked at what she had just said. The whole class went quiet and looked at me, and I hopefully looked at the teacher to see if he would answer for me, but he was intently looking at me too. I said "of course not! why did you think so?" and she replied "Oh, I don't know I'd heard you guys get married at like 15". I told her thats not true and the legal age for marriage in Pak is 18. It was extremely embarrassing for me, even though the class seemed to forget about it instantly.

Later on, this same girl asked me what would happen to a teenaged girl in Pakistan if she got pregnant. This made me very uncomfortable because I did not want to tell the truth to a class full of Americans. Nonetheless I said "Unless she's from a rich family, she'll probably be killed". The whole class gasped. The teacher said with a concerned look on his face "But her family will support her right?" Not having the courage to tell him that it's her family who would want to kill her the most, I simply said "yeah, they will". A lot of things about Pakistan have embarrassed me here.

Then I was embarrassed at how the method of greeting people is the opposite in this country. In Pakistan, you shake hands with/hug people of the same gender and simply nod at the other gender when greeting them. Here, if you are a guy you have to hug girls and either do the knuckle pound to other guys or just say "whatsup". I still feel somewhat embarrassed when my female friends fling themselves at my neck in public.

Another time in class I came in slightly late and found out the teacher had divided the class into 3 teams, because we were having a math competition. Members of two of the teams started arguing over whose team I would be on. The female teacher looked at me and said "Zain, tell them ladies you don't need to fight over me, there's enough of me to go around". I was yet again embarrassed and surprised that even teachers make these types of jokes in America :cheesy:

The girls in this same class asked me "do you ever get to see girls in Pakistan?" "of course" I answered, then she asks "do you get to see their hair?" "uhh yeah, we're not like Saudi Arabia females are a lot more free there.
Then she says "but do you get to talk to them about their bras like you did with us just now?" I said "definitley not". I'm sure I must have been pink at that time.

Solid, i am sure your enjoying here. You get the upper hand in the United States. By the way, in which state do you live in?
